Reposted by Odd MichaelChappu @chappuvt.bsky.social · 30/09/2026One quite reliable way I've found to keep my brain working on the same game is to make some soundtracks early on. The main theme for Glaton Ghost Club is now 2 years old and it still motivates me to keep going. I think I've never shared it so here you go #gamedev #vgm #horrorgame #solodev #indiedev 2379
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Awesome music! And I 100% agree that the music helps to keep one’s brain concentrated Since I suck at making music I throw some eldritch creepy mix into playlist and working on different parts of games while listening to it. Just to keep my brain in the mood when it tries to wander somewhere else :D 111

If you want to be added it would be awesome if you told me a bit about the cool #horrorgame you're working on✨ Also if I'm following you but you're not in this pack pls leave a comment as well♥️ 108439
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Glad to participate in Double Fine AF 2026 demo playtesting and voting for the next project as a backer! Voting is opened until Sept 30 so as Kickstarter page. Glad to see so many people supporting Double Fine and can't wait to see the documentary of this Amnesia Fortnight! #DoubleFine #indie 020
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I don’t know what I feel now tbh. The saddest and the happiest outcomes happened. Xbox started the closing process of Ninja Theory, because potential deals with new owners failed. Double Fine went indie on Kickstarter and are now making 4 prototypes to choose from. #NinjaTheory #DoubleFine 020
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Recently they said that Sony cancelled everything except Marathon. Now that Sony dropped Kojima, probably came to Bungie with a proposition to make something other than Marathon and Bungie gladly took it. To sell it one need to apologise. So I agree, only time will tell how sincere are they. 020

Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Xbox is publishing Physint. Hmm But they recently shut... WAIT: - June. Hideo Kojima is told Physint is cancelled. - Kojima goes to Xbox to save Physint. - Xbox isn't good with money at the moment. - Next month Xbox cuts off several studios (Double Fine, Ninja Theory etc.) - Xbox publishes Physint. 161

Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Yes, actively working, but it’s a prototype and I’m currently learning Godot (switched from Unreal after their “we’ll put AI in everything and deprecate blueprints”) So for the next two month approx I’ll be in learning phase After that will be much more active here with a current game progress 120

Lots of great developers in here, making things with their own hands, some of whom I might not have found otherwise!! go.bsky.app/78u8M6Y 55740317
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Can I join? But I don't have commercially released game yet. Think that there's nothing better than games made by people who love their craft. And if someone delegates game creation to AI - they're definitely not enjoying making games. 120
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Cool! If there's place in one of them it would be an honor for me to be added to the list. I think if person uses AI they're not enjoying gamedev, skipping the fun part. Why making games if you don't love doing it? It's a mystery to me tbh. 060
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Cool! Is there ETA for public release? Can't wait! 020
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Sounds like testers haven’t played TPS much, cause it’s a must have feature nowadays. But maybe you made it not obvious? For example in ARC raiders they move crosshair, but the dot remains on the center of the screen. There are so many different ways to do that, including those that look like bugs. 000
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Callisto Protocol is beautiful really I almost finished it and let me tell you something Story wise this game reminds me of some other survival horror series: Virus turns everyone into zombies, but in rare cases it will turn you into mr X with powers and stuff. 020
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Awesome game, really. IMO it’s the best roguelike. Novice friendly, looks cool, offers so many great mechanics and possibilities. I’ll never forget when me and my monkey friend were fighting duplicating jelly, but under frogs poison we hallucinated that there were many different monsters instead :D 010
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 24/08/2026The default cube of tomorrow. Well... All Tomorrows. #blender3d #defaultcube #AllTomorrows 0103
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Gameplay is what you expect from the survival horror plus dodge-dodge-hit close combat with inclusion of gun-fu in the process. Story (for now) is a prison escape with all the things you would expect from it. I love Escape From Butcher Bay, so I’m enjoying the story that supports the gameplay. 040
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Played The Callisto Protocol for 7 hours straight (haven’t finished yet). The game is BEAUTIFUL I didn’t expect a game with mostly dark corridors to be so stunning visually. Sound design is top notch as well. Especially meaty splashy sounds and huge metal propeller sounds. 181
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 18/08/2026The Artful Escape is so beautiful and bright, it was really fun to play! Run forward, shred, speak with strange creatures and liberate yourself from the people's expectations. #TheArtfulEscape 030
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Mullet Mad Jack is a must play for those who love fast paced shooters and 90's anime vibes. Just finished it and it was awesome! #indiegames #MulletMadJack #retrogames 092

Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 25/07/2026Why people tend to call all the low-poly games "PSX-style"? I see some low-poly horrors describing themselves as PSX-style but they're just low-poly, high res textures and render resolution etc. Please, don't do that, it's like calling each cosmic horror "Lovecraftian" #PSX #lowpoly 061
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 24/07/2026I hated drones in Post Void, now I’m ready to hate these :D 010

Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Finished A Quiet Place: the road ahead You know, the game is really creative and cool. I never expect something good from a game based on a movie, but here devs cooked! A new mechanic every chapter, sometimes every level. The game is scary and rarely release the tension. Play with mic on. #horror 040
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 16/07/2026Feel more confident in Godot already, but there’s still many things to get familiar with. Anyway, I already can say that it’s much more suitable for the retro games that I wanna make. 0100
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 01/07/2026Watched Obsession What an incredible horror with some really unpredictable and scary moments. Also actors are top notch, especially Inde Navarrette playing Nikki in such an uncanny ways that it gives chills down your spine. #obsession #horror 0210
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 30/06/2026The orchestrator is super intuitive and PS1 looks are easily achievable. I like it even more than in Unreal, much less stuff to turn off. I stick to Godot, it’s official. Diving into practice and learning. #godot 070
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 28/06/2026I also found node 'Get Class Name' but couldn't find how to get a reference for Orchestration, hm. Most of the addon is really straight forward but sometimes I got stuck a little :D 000
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 28/06/2026Using Orchestrator and really love it! But have a question if there's anyone using it. How do you check if Node is an Orchestrator class name In my case there's an orchestration with class Skeleton, but if I'll check for class directly it will return Node 3D of course. #godot #orchestrator 220

Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 24/06/2026or, OR we need an ultimate dating sim that will act like Dead by Daylight and collect all the famous characters from other games/media 020
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 23/06/2026If someone uses AI to make picture, I believe this person don’t enjoy drawing. Uses for game dev - not enjoying game dev. Same for music, code, 3D etc. I really think that the best stuff we get from people who have fun creating it, who love the process, however slow or hard it may be sometimes. 0191
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Also I think that Godot maintainers going through so much “vibe coded” PRs, most of which probably lie that they didn’t use AI at all, shows their dedication to Godot as long as all code is checked and tested by human who loves the engine and don’t like AI Not perfect, but in current world it’s good 010
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 23/06/2026I’m extremely against AI usage for creating games, (other than obvious reasons) I enjoy the process of creation really much. Making everything yourself is hard, most of the times slow, but the satisfaction I get from finishing the 3D model, code or art, let alone the process of it is so worth it. 050
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Reading about Godot drama with AI, I think more and more about just stick to one version without updating. But I think Godot maintainers are superhuman. Checking thousands of PRs in the era of slop, when you don’t want vibe coded shit in your project must be frustrating as hell for them. 160
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 21/06/2026Along with GDscript I'm making the scripts in Orchestrator which is visual programming add-on for Godot I like both GDscript and the Orchestrator a lot. Will be definitely use the latter since my brain is so much better with visual things than text. So I choose spaghetti nodes over spaghetti code :D 030
Odd Michael @oddmichaelgames.bsky.social · 21/06/2026Godot is awesome, I found my new home. I like how intuitive the engine is, yet I see how I can make some complex stuff with it. Some rotation/translation beginner stuff with cubes, it's always fun to start from scratch when the software is responsive and intuitive. #godot 1180
