I live about a mile from the construction and fully agree. From I-90 at the Victor exit, I'd suggest getting off on NY 96N past Eastview Mall. Follow it through Bushnell's Basin, past the canal into Pittsford. If you stay straight, it will connect with 252 (Jefferson Road) in Pittsford and take you directly to Pittsford Sutherland High School. I'd recommend avoiding the Kreag Road detour (I live right off of it). It can be OK, but from time to time the road can back up as they are replacing the I-490 overpass next to Kreag Road Park (new steel for the replacement bridge was put in place Friday night-Saturday morning). We drove past this AM, and I noted that the workers have temporary traffic lights there (likely for when pieces of the road deck are being lifted in place). Routing on 96 is almost as fast as 490 was prior to construction; it's the best bet right now and more direct. Go Bills!
