it's new info but also kind of a gray area too, they're functionally immortal so long as they continue to fulfill their purpose but we also have primals like baldr that lose their will to live and revert back to their cores, which might be what that line is referring to

I think it's a neat detail that we can see hints of this in certain primals like those referred to as gods of war (nezha, athena) but it'd also be really funny if astrals just stuck this trait at random in whatever primals

we always go back to enyo's convo about most primals being made for destruction and thus have destructive urges that I wish was explored more in regards to the other primals
