Day 2 out in the peatlands. Did you know that 1m of peatland takes 1000 years to form? Peatland binds carbon but when dried out, it releases huge amounts of green house gases. Conserving coastal peatland in our future #BlueCarbonCall projects? 🤔 thanks @succow-stiftung.de - lots to think about!

#CaboVerdeLearnings In a fisheries community where the conditions are so rough that fishing is only possible every 2nd day, catch sizes are ⬇️ as is scarce arable land due to climate change, the young members will leave. Solution: work together to id suitable, climate-resilient livelihood options
