[Damn it Dave, damn it! How could you have been such an idiot!” Dave cursed aloud, dropping his head into his hands in worried frustration of what will possibly happen to his poor boy. What had he done, what could he do, how was he going to fix this mess? His chest suddenly started to burn, it was a painful lasting sting that made his entire body hurt.
"I…I have to save him. I have to do something." He was panting now. His vision had become blurred and he was frantically shaking. His legs were already turning to cylinders, his body gaining segments like an artist's mannequin.
He had to calm down. He needed to calm down.
Dave took a deep breath. He tried to slowly count aloud the gates that lined his yard,
1.2.3.4.5.
his fingers,
1..2..3..4..5..
And finally, he moved five parts of his body slowly back into a resting position, counting out loud for each limb.
