I’ve been deeply moved by Kusama’s infinity rooms several times. Thanks to the Glass team for sneaking one of my photos in to this morning’s spotlight on photos of her work.

Film panorama of an endless room, spheres of light punctuating the scene. At the center, and the sides, reverberating out in all directions are me and mb, both holding up cameras. About two thirds of the way through the frame is a bright white light and a flurry of motion blur where the LED light spheres changed color to red, which is seen sneaking in from the right side of the frame.

A tshirt with a rainbow and a picture of a telephone dial. Text on the shirt reads “Proudly celebrating 100 years of EAST Central Office dial telephone service. Capitol Hill, Seattle. Dialing 324 in (206) since 1927.”

This subtly references that EAST was assigned office code 324. EA-4 according to the letters on the dial which correspond to the numbers. There is an affectionate subtle reference to a three letter word which can be spelled on a telephone dial with 324.

Secretly one of my favorite buildings in Seattle.
