I really love Vaughters comments on the doping testing that’s happened this tour. That guy is class. Super happy for that teams success, Carapaz has made the past few days entertaining as hell. Go EF!

DST is why most Americans wake by alarm in darkness. Permanent Standard Time would let us sleep longer and awaken naturally to sunlight, for health!

In a less imperfect world, Musk and Trump would be forever cast as killers of children, and this would be front-page news for months and the subject of Sunday sermons in every church.

Folks at MIT Sloan looked at multiple studies of return to office (RTO) mandates & found they are lose-lose-lose. No reward from Wall Street for “getting tough,” an actual decrease in productivity & revenue, and loss of top talent. youtu.be/4ec_yZCWOCY...

RTO Mandates: Hard Truths for Leaders
After Amazon imposed a strict return-to-office policy that takes effect in January 2025, other companies followed suit. But are RTO mandates a way to boost productivity and charm Wall Street - or just a way to lose your best performers? In this short video, Brian Elliott, who has studied RTO mandate

This is somehow not an understatement. I'm so stoked to see this launch! A brand new purpose-built database that truly delivers on what it promises: simple unlimited scalability of NoSQL, global strong consistency (Atomic Clocks > CAP Theorem), but with PostgreSQL compatibility. 🤯

Although I'm not a Kafka user, I'm very interested in this new capability for Lambda Event Source Mappings - they now have a Provisioned Mode which allows you to set a minimum and maximum number of pollers. Pricing is based on Event Poller Units (EPUs).

For mountain bikes and gravel(35c+) it really has been amazing for me. There's definitely a bit of a learning curve, but it's been well worth it. With road bike tires(28c) I've had much more mixed results.
