I had that set of Marvel glasses long ago, and forgot all about them till I saw this photo. Don't know what happened to them.

Here's my second 9 anime list, since one wasn't enough, and I could easily make several more.

My 9 Anime list, but I really need to make 4 or 5 more to cover all my favorites.

The Speaker shouldn't have that kind of power. Once a congressional session has set start and end dates, they can't be changed or cancelled. The way it is now one man has too much power.

Can't you all just stay and vote anyway? There needs to be a way to prevent this kind of procedural manipulation from happening.

I'm left handed and never had that problem. I was taught to hold my pencil or pen just like a right hander did, only with my left hand, and to tip my paper slightly to the right, and that way I could see where I was writing and my hand never touched the writing.

How do you not pay taxes when it's automatically taken out of your pay before you get paid?

I see lots of potential for the show. Let's hope the writing and editing get better, but I'm very happy with Holly Hunter's captain, and it's nice to see Robert Picardo again. The wall of names and Captain Nahla first taking the con got me emotional.

Finished 'Project Hail Mary'. I picked it as Weir's 'The Martian' was so good. I grew up reading Heinlein, Asimov, and Clarke, but these days there's so little new hard science sci-fi that I'm aware of. This and 'The Martian' could both have been titled 'One Life-threatening Problem After Another'.

Cover of 'Project Hail Mary' by Andy Weir.

'Misery' was the first King book I read, and at first I was put off by all the detailed descriptions of everything, feeling like it takes him 3 pages to write what most writer do in one page, but I got used to it and enjoyed the book. His book 'On Writing' is also very good.

This is what photo editing software is for. Cameras rarely capture the scene exactly, especially with a hi contrast ratio. You can make adjustments to get the image closer to what it looked like in real life.

Nice to know Forged in Fire is on Samsung TV, but now that I've watched some, the shows are shortened by editing out sections to allow more time for commercials, which is disappointing.

I loved it when it first came out. It was so daring and out there. But now, after all the advances in film making, its poor editing makes it hard to watch.

2001 needs to be watched in 4k and on a large screen to be appreciated. I watched it in Cinerama when it came out and never felt bored at all. I was disappointed in it once it was on TV because all the interesting details got lost.
