The first inside back cover of Materials Advances in 2026, is now out! "A light responsive single amino acid-based supramolecular hydrogel for photo-controlled vitamin release" by Divya Chauhan and Chandan Maity O'MatSE Lab 🔗pubs.rsc.org/en/cont...
Image shows light coming from the top and iluminating the structure of tyrosine-derived low-molecular-weight hydrogelator incorporating an azobenzene moiety; the hydrogeleator assessmbles into supramolecular hydrogel (shown as green/white discs) that can encapsulate vitamin B12 (red circles); The syringe and petri-dish depictions illustrate the thixotropic behaviour of the hydrogel. The vials show the gel’s light-responsive gel–sol–gel conversion. Molecular structures of the building blocks are displayed in the background.
