I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. Ignore the haters, London is the 🐐
Graphic with the headline “London is the greatest city in the world” set against a bright view of the River Thames with the Shard, Tower Bridge and the city skyline.

The text celebrates what makes London special: regularly voted the number one city in the world, incredible diversity with over 300 languages spoken, world-class transport, world leader in finance tech and life sciences, best museums and galleries many free to visit, world-leading nightlife, food sport and music for every taste, host to the world’s best sporting events, home to seven Premier League clubs, globally-ranked universities, a city where you can be yourself and love who you love, and a place for everyone.

Brianna Keilar: Do you think that calling Elon Musk a dick is effective messaging? Congressman Robert Garcia: Well, he is a dick.

DID YOU KNOW for 25 years Matthew Shepard had no permanent resting place due to concerns his grave would be vandalized Reverend Budde learned of this, she invited the Shepards to inter him inside the Washington National Cathedral. www.matthewshepard.org/matthew-shep... She was and is a real hero.

The UK media that spent years screaming about antisemitism are suddenly quiet as fuck about Elon Musk doing two Nazi salutes on a main stage. It's funny how selective outrage works, isn’t it?

Guardian has it as a maybe. But these people are all flirts. It’s part of the process of normalisation. Flirt with the dark side, and while people are discussing whether it did or did not cross the line, the line disappears. It’s time to say, the flirting is the crime.

I’d just like to say I’m really enjoying Bluesky. It’s like how it used to be on Twitter. Following interesting people with interesting things to say. You realise how much of your timeline on Twitter got clogged up with things you weren’t interested in.

LGBTQ voters went 86% for Harris. Attacking them, and especially trans people as the reason for losing the election is electoral suicide. They make up 7% of voters. Without them, every single democratic senator that won would've lost.
The image shows a line graph titled "LGBT vote for president" with data for voters nationwide. The graph includes two lines:

A blue line representing the Democratic candidate's support among LGBT voters, which starts at 76% in 2012, dips to 64% in 2020, and then rises significantly to 86% in 2024.

A red line representing the Republican candidate's support, starting at 22% in 2012, dropping to 14% in 2016, peaking at 27% in 2020, and then decreasing to 12% in 2024.

The source is listed as NBC News Exit Poll as of 8:14 PM ET, with graphic credits to Joelle Gross and Elizabeth Schreier of NBC News.

I was always a bit wary of posting there due to the “hate” as my views don’t always align with some of the users there but hopefully people won’t be like that here and I’ll feel a bit more free to post.

Have had an account on here for a while but have decided to start moving over here and use this rather than the “other”. I just can’t continue there knowing what it supports…..
