Both, in a way! Definitely stores excess magic for the Alcandran, and keeps the magic at safe levels for them to use! I hope that makes sense lol

Reposting this adopt since it’s been a year since they were released! They’ve yet to find a home, so are still currently up for offer! :> vgen.co/shop/product... #art #artshop #adopt #adoptshop

A watermarked reference of a character design based on a pumpkin and a devil. They have brownish skin with freckles, short orange hair, and sharp dark pupils. They have leafy horns, a brown vest, white shirt and shorts, gloves and boots, vines that spiral down one of their arms and legs and one that functions as a tail. They are playfully posed holding a knife.

Alcandrans are not made of gemstone; they are of flesh and blood like all the other hominids

Nytil (Prepping for CASA!) @nytilsennia.com · 7h

There is no cure, even with any possible magic. The body crystallizes, then breaks away on its own. The only way to stop the process once it begins is to ensure the Alcandran is quickly given a gemstone to hold and filter their biological magic.

Crysintigration- When the magic of an Alcandran eats away at their own body (Spoiled for body horror/loss of body parts - No blood) #art #anvyr

A visual process of crysintigration; where the body of an Alcandran gets eaten away by their own magic. Involves the body crystalizing into multicolored gemstone and then shattering away

Here’s a little illustration of Mary’s Haven iteration ( @rosie-rabbit.bsky.social ) alongside Subira Jaquan and Percy Taylor! The two are checking in with her for any safety issues she may have spotted with her eyes of Hope, though Percy seems a bit frightened by them… #art #oc #ocart #ocsky

A sketch illustration of three original characters, Percy Taylor and Subira Jaquan, owned by me, and Mary’s Haven AU iteration, owned by rosie-rabbit. The illustration is divided into two by a wall, with eyes on both sides of it. On the left, Subira is kneeling down to talk to them with a notebook, while Percy holds a notebook close to his chest, scared. On the right is Mary, looking very anxious and covered in a blanket, reaching out to the eyes.

Spellbound Woods is a story about mystery, magic, and confronting your fears. A magician lays a curse on a magical forest, and only one hero can break the curse. But, they will need help to do it. This is a webcomic-turned graphic novel. #DVPit #DVArt #GN #F #Illustrator

Spellbound Woods comic cover. A child walks through a purple, mystical forest while holding a bundle of flowers. They are accompanied by a strange skeletal deer creature with white mushrooms growing on its body.

A comic page from Spellbound Woods. Kato approaches a statue with horns in awe. The text is in a strange language, with english underneath. It reads:

"Kato."
"Come, little one."
"Listen."

A comic page from Spellbound Woods. Kato makes a landing on the ground, and their pumpkin-headed friend Pillow runs up to them, excitedly telling them they are the hero, before being pushed out of the way by the eccentric Casino!! who tells Kato the exact same thing. The dialogue reads:

Pillow: "Kato!!!!"
Pillow: "I can't believe it! Do you know what this means? It's you! You're th-"
Casino!!: "You're the hero, kid! Great job!"
Casino!!: "I knew it all along, of course!"

A comic page-spread from Spellbound Woods. The crew of characters enter a green, mystical grove after entering a moon gate portal. The grove has large mushrooms, purple carnations, and an altar at the center of an island, a willow tree towering over it.
