What’s better than a new library? A new library AND affordable housing. 📚🏠 Today, HPD and Brooklyn Public Library announced the next step in the New Utrecht Library project, which could bring 200–300 affordable homes and a brand-new library to Bensonhurst.

This morning we joined @mayor.nyc.gov for the ribbon-cutting at an affordable homeownership building on 116th St! This is an Affordable Neighborhood Cooperative Program (ANCP) building, which helps us convert city-owned buildings to resident-controlled co-ops.

Approved ✅ City Council just approved the City’s first ELURP application for 351 Powers Avenue in the Bronx, helping fast-track 84 affordable homes, including 30 homes for formerly homeless New Yorkers. What once could’ve taken up to 7 months was completed in just 90 days.
