You know how in some shoujo manga there is prince like character who is pathetically pining over someone who doesn't really care to give them attention - this is basically it LOL.

A quick little snippet written for my dear @wonderingcosmos.bsky.social who drew the most adorable little dragon Joker that I couldn't help but write something based on him. Might get back to this one day ❤️

Goro finds the… thing… lounging upon his pillow as if it owns the damn the thing one rainy day after a long day at work. As he’d stepped into his dingy apartment, unaware of his intruder, the first red flag had been his balcony door—pried open a hair’s breadth where he knew he’d closed after his routine morning shame-smoke. The second had been the scent of petrichor, coming not from the aforementioned outside rain, but intensely located behind his half ajar bedroom.
The third had been the lump nestled beneath his bundle of blankets, accompanied by the soft rumbling purr more akin to a cat than what he found when he tore back the sheets.
He’d stared, shock halting his body where it stood, as he took it in what appeared to be some kind of horned reptile from a fantasy story of his youth making itself at home upon his bed.
The intruder, with all the care in the world of a cat bathing in a sunbeam, only came to acknowledge his presences in slow, meandering moments. Rolling in the sheets like a child unwilling to be awoken by its mother, it fought a valiant battle against the cold chill that soon enveloped it, stripped of the warm, protective sheets.
Its mouth opened wide in a yawn, baring its ineffectually small fangs and forked pink tongue; when it closed, the tip of that tongue poked out as if retracting it was somehow too much energy for its small body. It rolled once

more onto its back, flopping its head topped with strange almost silken black curls and two little horns and sighing as if it knew a weariness that Goro could not imagine such a carefree little thing could ever know.
And then, unable to fight back the wakefulness any longer, it blinked its small, black eyes and stared up at Goro with a look that said ‘You wouldn’t hurt a cute thing like me, would you?’
And unfortunately, as would soon be learned by both of them, it was horribly, terribly right.
Thus, Goro found himself the… Owner? Victim? Roommate? Unwitting slave? of the strange, unendingly infuriating (and hopelessly cute) beast known to him only as Joker.
