mm yea, often times reason just isn't needed ig cause they haven't been forced to by some experience yet

Nyako @nyako.cat · 26/09/2026

Am i just the insane one cause plenty of friends now simply do not even care about anything happening around them sure, that is peaceful, but idk seems like it would backfire

other stuff has you running cables from your iems to a pocket dac or something and for me that wasn't acceptable for certain activities i would want wireless iems for (dancing and w/e else) yes TWS exists but every affordable tws ive tried has a dumb quality issue where one ear degrades way too fast

i have this thing now and it is pretty good! nutty dood glazed it a bit hard but it is still the best offering i have found for something of this form factor (you should search for the best solution for YOU though don't just listen to me)

oh boy, vive ultimates xc i dont think the humiliation rituals will ever go away for any tracking but they will get less burdensome with better hardware/software interoperability

shitty adapters that break in 2months (mainly to charge and use a usbc dac at the same time - looking at you amazon), pc OS/vr runtime nonsense (not just wireless tbf) and a whole host of other issues.. was just ranting about how wireless audio hardware is an expensive luxury (cont.)

Nyako @nyako.cat · 06/09/2026

I REALLY HATE that, if you ever want to be wireless untethered in VR (such as when you have annoying family children and need to switch rooms), you have to deal with incredibly annoying nonsense like Meta's hardware and androidslop OS, mic malfunctioning, charging and usb audio not working (cont.)

crazy that we all are just accepting enshittification nowadays... despite knowing how horrendously awful the top 5-10 sites and apps most people use are either in ux, policy, false positive bans, privacy, you name it 😔

you cant bring yourself to do a thing like editing, or creating things BUT you love doing it. thus you optimize or automate the fun out of it so the dopamine now comes from having created the thing (regardless of method) instead of making it these are just thoughts, i dont mean anything by this :p

The steam machine's price is honestly lower than i expected, but $1k for a pretty mid tiny pc does not make me happy for the steam frame's price (whatever price it is, i can't afford it lol)

Steam Controller ran out faster than we anticipated, and we hate that not everyone who wanted one was able to get it. We’re working on getting more in stock and will have an update on expected timeline soon.
