yeah but you come out of it sounding like jacob collier

010

film grain merchant @nyabuki.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

also, not helped by the fact that literary for a lot of people either is just "actually good prose" or "domestic realist stuff", which is not entirely right but not entirely wrong. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

film grain merchant @nyabuki.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

it's a i know it when i see it type deal, when i can tell a writer actually cares about the written word, and isn't trying to beam an anime into my head. it's not helped by that litfic has been inspired by genre stuff for ages, and you can get the same premise in "crime novel" or "litfic novel".

"Solace" (making of in the thread!) #dominusposting

A hazy shot of Dominus playing the lyre in what appears to be a secluded, abandoned temple. His expression is serene as he glances down at the instrument. His legs are folded and wings gently splayed up, as if sheltering him from the rays of sunlight peeking through the trees.

🕯️『Would you adore all of my sins?』🕯️ . . . < #🥀:Lauri - #GPose - #GPosers - #Elezen - #MElezen - #ElezenHours >

Laurierroux, a pale Elezen(?) with long dark hair, sits upon the chest of an elezen woman. She is slumped back, practically falling off the bed she lays upon, her mouth hanging open as if she were sleeping or perhaps dead. Lauri’s eyes have blood red scalera, a tail sprouting from his lower back, and long succubus horns adorning his head. In this dimly lit room, the walls are seemingly made of draped fabric and from between a gap in the fabric the head of a creature peaks out, a Grani which seemingly has a grin upon its teeth lined maw.

Charibert and Jules, two Elezen, standing across from each other as if they were going in for a kiss. Covering their mouths is a glimpse of Jules with blood running down his mouth, some sort of flesh between his teeth. They're in black and white. Text is on the borders.
Text: "A kiss is the beginning of cannibalism."

— another visit, another scolding. one day she'll listen to him. w/ @ritualgoth.bsky.social ⚰️ #ritualggpose ; #landsmaiden

the siblings, sumire (left) and gunji (right). they are in gunji's clinic. gunji is kneeling to attend to sumires leg, seemingly injured as it is halfway wrapped in bandages. they have a hand under her calf to examine the injury, while sumire avoids his gaze with her cheek against the elevated leg. gunji's expression is surprising level, but his gaze is fixed on her. scolding.

the open, strong sulk on sumires face. they also have a bandage around the neck - perhaps the injury was not just localised to her leg. she is watching gunji's wagging finger unhappily.

the extent to which gunji must get down on the floor just to tend to his sister. she is sitting on a low, comfortable sofa. her cane, made by him as a gift, is sitting to the side in easy reach.

i should really have more fat ffxivocs but scaling stuff is still something that confounds me, even having people patiently explain which bones get which results and having read so many tutorials by great creators. grr. ill get it one day.
