Me & my therapy dog go to nursing homes & for months now instead of just playing old dvds they have the TVs in the community areas playing AI generated loops of people or cute cartoon animals & also songs I think are all AI & all I think of is exactly this game (especially b/c it's a nursing home)

It was! & if I remember right I still had to buy the Asian version to get a physical copy (which was my issue with the original, too) but at least the Asian version is region-free! Still kind of sad about it since the Wii U controls were peak & as digital only it's at risk of being lost forever!

I am a heathen, I do have 3 crts (which I bought at thrift stores when they were dirt cheap to help with a game tournament thing and later just kept and I do not regret this decision) but I will often play my old games on a modern TV if I feel like being in that room instead

I preordered it & bought it right away, but then (as is typical for me) I didn't actually play it for years. when I finally did I was so removed from the 1st game I guess I just thought it was cute but meh. I think it really was exactly that! I saw a video that said Samurai Legend was kind of a project meant to get them ready for other games, too, so it may have actually had no real soul to it, just a way to figure things out technically w/ like... an IP they owned, *just* in case it took off for them

Oh I just remembered, I've been reading Japanese interviews about BFM and it sounds like that was a small team of non-Square dudes receiving Square help here & there, and they were very passionate about the game. The sequel I think is by Square Proper with no heart and it's as dull as wet bread 😭

I *did* just get the OST off Mercari! I think it's such a bummer to me because BFM is so dear to my ❤️ & like what the hell is this "sequel"? 😭 The 1st time I played it it had been a while since I had played BFM so I think it didn't hurt as badly! because my review on backloggery was pretty kind!
