I moved a folder with lots of pictures to another drive, but didn't overwrite all of them, then deleted the original folder from my NVMe It turns out that a good chunk of the pictures in the HDD were corrupted and because NTFS is shit and doesn't have snapshotting or resiliance, i've lost them

For the few #Nvidia #linux users, the vulkan extension to fix the descriptor issue (aka, dx12 perf loss) is already out, and Nvidia just released a new beta driver that implements it. Theoretically it should also help the #intel driver too The bad news is that vkd3d doesn't support it yet

My god, I just joined the #vrchat instance capacity stress test. 433 peak people, 5 frames max, 100% cpu usage. Even the microphone died at around 280something people. It was pretty cool regardless.

Well, the 9070XT works fine, but seeing how they are screwing over all of the RDNA3 users in real time sure makes me want to return this thing. It's amazing how hard they are fucking it up. Good job AMD, never miss the opportunity to miss an opportunity.

We are in the age of RISC-V chiplets, apparently. Still testing the new DeepComputing DC-ROMA Mainboard II, with 8 SiFive P550 cores, Imagination GPU, and separate NPU chip, with 32 GB of shared RAM. The way it works is... interesting. Stay tuned for a video. Might take a little longer than usual.
