My second slightly late piece for Shadowheart September is here! I would have posted it yesterday but brain error 404ed and crashed out hard so I ended up posting it this morning. archiveofourown.org/works/93653716 Thank you @tavyliasin.bsky.social and @sexybg3collections.bsky.social ❤️

For #OCDeklan, winter unfortunately brings a lot of pain. Some of the damage he sustained during the Absolute Crisis are still very much problematic post game and the cold absolutely makes it hell on him.

Majority of my Durges tend to work on the trades or hobbies they've picked up post game when the nightmares wake them up. #OCShadow especially spends time working on his trades that are hobbies as well.

#OCTor looks a lot like her mother but has some of her father's features. I haven't created either her mother or her father yet though.

Pretty much all my OCs need a hug, but the one needing it the most right now is #OCDeklan he's really going through it right now in the WIP longfic on Ellipsus

Oh I got a few but one of them is definitely my #OCShedanoran family. They're the Evereskan family from hells, old traditional High Elves (down to arranged marriages for good strong families) who abused #OCNeri, locked her in a basement for most of her life until she escaped and got tadnapped 1/2

#OCTor is the only one who takes action. The rest of my OCs are traumatized piles of needing major hugs, cuddles and therapy. Tor however challenged Halsin to a run in the woods around the Emerald Grove then inflamed him further in a to be published next chapter of the co fic with #OCMavrius

Things for #OCKai and Karlach don't go well in the Hells....

Of my OCs that have magic, each has a unique coloration to it (and I have a similar headcanon for NPCs and others in and out of BG3). For example #OCNeri has a winter moonlight coloration to her magic even being a storm wizard. Powerful, wild, and fierce with a dose of Moonmaiden backing as well.

For #OCKai baths eventually became a sort of sanctuary with Karlach though it took a while before he was comfortable even sharing a bath. Karlach never judged him, respected his boundaries and helped him get cleaned up and relaxed. Most of the time, Kai ends up cuddling with Karlach.

For #OCKai and Karlach, it was a lot of reassurance and an open door offer of support. Karlach knew that Kai was a mess, especially being as reactive as he is in the beginning of BG3. Over time Kai opened up, but Karlach continued being the main rock in their relationship.

For many of my OCs, it was some mess or another. Theran, Mav, Neri, and many others it takes a long while before things settle down for them.

In a few of my fics it is Helsik and in others it is Abdirak, with a few of those being romantic for Abdirak. Can't pick a favorite though or which should get more attention (plus I'm still in Act 1 until I get a new cooling pad for my laptop to be able to play 😂)

#OCTheran went from a terrified man jumping at everything to a quiet reserved but happy man with Astarion by his side as his husband. His found family helped as well though it was primarily Karlach, Shadowheart, and Jaheira. Alas no pics yet but some day.

Pretty much most of my Durges are absolute wrecks. #OCShadow ends up adding to Trauma Mountain through a new villain in his fic "Bloody Soul Shadow Moons" as does #OCTelra in "Foggy Shadows".

#OCKai learned his cleric skills from a number of folks but the most prominent is #DnDLore Shanathera Moonsoul and #OCAebalar both of Selûne in Silverymoon. Both enjoyed having Kai around and loved his curiosity.

Story wise: my current project the OC is preparing to leave Candlekeep where they have spent 100 years learning after a really shit time beforehand with a minor interlude of peace between the shit time and Candlekeep.

#OCKai thought Karlach was amazing partly because she had helped him out of the pickle he found himself in when he woke up after the nautiloid crashed. Karlach was worried and concerned, but over time the pair fell hard for one another though Kai certainly fell harder despite feeling unworthy of her

For the majority of my Durges, it is usually Karlach, Shadowheart, and Jaheira. They have taught my Durges that they can be better, that they can be free even if a collar lays heavy on their neck, and that no matter how dark it gets, there's always light somewhere.

NW39 @nw39.bsky.social · 16/06/2026

#OCKai ends up trancing for many many years due to a mixture of nightmares and bad things that I won't spoil. His first proper rest happens with Karlach in Last Light Inn where she wakes up to him sound asleep wrapped around her. Karlach knew how much it meant and was highly honored <3

#OCTheran to Astarion in the final chapter of Feral Soul. Theran had a shortened life due to the trauma he suffered at the hands of many cruel bastards, but he went with love.

NW39 @nw39.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

#OCTor "Let's lie down for a nap in the dappled sun for a nap my bear," Halsin: "That sounds lovely my arrow heart," Tor slipped away to Mielikki an hour after and Halsin slipped away three hours after Tor with Astarion finding them near dusk when they had not returned for lunch.

042

NW39 @nw39.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

Halsin didn't last long after #OCTor moved on into Mielikki's Grove. They both had full lives being Wood Elves, but alas there was only a few hours between their deaths due to how closely intertwined their souls were. They spent many a celestial day running through the ancient Druidic groves.

Only normal Tav/Durge I have is #OCTor. The rest are heavily traumatized to varying degrees ranging from horrendous parents to enslavement and more.
