She offered Cassie the Sad Angel as a bodyguard (specifically asking her to watch for demons and vampires) and then exited. As soon as her heels hit the street, she whispered to the wind where Zelda was and exactly who was with her, and the fact that they would be leaving soon.

After all the demons were killed, Paige spoke to Zelda and gave her a lookover, realizing that all Zelda wanted was her freedom. Which meant not being dragged back to Faerie and entered into the line of succession. But all of that is over Paige's paygrade.

Some demons were attacking! And the young woman-- Zelda-- had apperently made friends with Soapbox (the aware human association) and Cyril, a paranormal investigator who owes Paige big. Paige lent them her Sad Angel ti kill all the demons, and learned that her target is a channeling.

Sascha woke the Oracle up, and in studying them as they left, Paige realized they too were hunting for Zelda. After discovering that the Oracle couldn't scry on the young woman, Paige booked it to the address the hunter gave her, taking a shortcut through Faerie to arrive in the nick of time.

Annoyed, Paige stalked up to the roof and set a blizzard on them, injuring them all severely. She advised them to run along, and discovered her hunter contact was among them AND had completed her request.

When they got to the Oracle's office, there was a vampire sitting in her chair. Sascha, to whom Paige owed a debt. Sascha had the Oracle entranced, and offered to let her go to complete Paige's request IF she would get rid of the hunters that were currently breaking in to kill them.

people talk about "media literacy" usually in the context of "needing the villain to look into the camera and tell you they're bad," but it goes the other way too--people will fly into a rage and start insisting "fiction has no effect on reality" if you DO acknowledge context, subtext, framing, etc.

It's a vibes thing. It's all nitpicky genre stuff, but I'd put WoD as horror and Dresden Files as urban fantasy, and Urban Shadows is more urban fantasy.
