Oh man. So true. I protested in VERY red, rural Wisconsin today and I did not come home “energized”. There were about 100 of us and it was BRUTAL. The cognitive dissonance is REAL. I dunno how we can turn it around. Here’s my sign tho. It wasn’t perfect, but I got the point across 🙂

That’s terrific! Here’s my sign that I carried in tiny, blood red Spooner, Wisconsin. I and about 100 other badasses stood together in 28 degree weather and wind and got swore at a lot, and I stopped counting how many times we got flipped off, but we persisted! We got a few 👍 and HONKS!

What a beautiful birthday was had by me. I turned 64. First trip up to my tiny off grid cabin in 5 weeks since I had my right hip replaced. I am so glad that I could escape reality for a few days to experience the healing power of NATURE

I had to get out of the Minneapolis area for an evening in the wee Hut. We didn’t even bring groceries. Got all we needed at Kwik Trip, Louie’s Meats and the bakery in Lindström. I have surgery on Wednesday and won’t be able to come up for a while. I’m so grateful for natures healing hand 🌲🪵🦉

My daughter and I filled the ice fishing sled up with our gear and drug it across the lake to spend two glorious days at the Hut. We fired up the wood-stove, filled up the bird feeders and relaxed ☺️. Gotta head back tomorrow before the blizzard

They are our generation of “stolperstein” (stumbling stones) markers you can find in Berlin. They forever mark the spot where the Gestapo tore Jews from their homes never to be seen again. People witnessed these horrors and did nothing.

Life is bonkers right now, so it is such a luxury to be able to escape to the woods, watch the sunset and fire up the woodstove to heat up the cabin. Tonight’s dinner is salted in shell peanuts and a whiskey sour. Retiring in the woods can’t come soon enough.

I am happy to say that we had about 1/2 dozen law enforcement officers watching over us. We were protesting in DEEP RED RURAL Wisconsin and we were a group of about 400 (which was HUGE) in a town of 2400, including surrounding farm communities. They stepped in a couple of times 🙂

I fixed my misspelled sign and went to the NO KINGS Rally in Spooner, Wisconsin. A deep red village of 2400. Somehow we managed to get around 450 people to show up! The first NK in Spooner had 15!

Lots of osprey on Lake Minnetonka. I have bald eagles, loons, sandhill cranes, and swans on my lake in Wisconsin. It’s a small quiet lake with a creek and a super active beaver dam!

The other night I was watching a dreamy sunset when I could hear the sandhill cranes in the distance. Suddenly they rose above the tree line and I watched a group flying overhead. Getting ready to pull up stakes and head south. Every year we see more and more in Western Wi. 😌 Fun birds
