Most people don't want to use Adobe anymore for a lot of reasons, but I think the most common one is the Adobe Creative Cloud plan and their weird policies if you cancel a subscription

There's a lot of variety in software nowadays. There's Davinci Resolve which is an open source and free profesional video editor and if you have Mac there's also Final Cut Pro. But recently people prefer more simple video edition tools like CapCut and Filmora

I find it strange that hibiscus tea is less common in a lot of countries, when is a pretty common drink here in latam. It's my favorite drink! Does it mean that if I leave Mexico then I won't find any hibiscus tea?... How would I live?

Sadly, I don't have a photo. My neighbors would be terrified if I took a picture of their cats, and my boss would call me to ask why I disappeared for so long. It's a big risk!

There's been a lot of cats (🐈) around my workplace recently. No complaints though!

Some handy tips on how to have the best multiplayer experience in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds!

Two panel comic illustrating "How to Play Local Multiplayer". The first panel shows Sonic casually playing a game with Shadow alongside the text, "DO: Lose gracefully." The second panel shows Shadow smirking as he lights Sonic's couch on fire alongside the text, "DO NOT: Burn the couch."

The first panel shows Sonic casually playing a game with Shadow on a couch while shouting, "It's Slime Time!" alongside the text, "DO: Use items in game." The second panel shows Sonic mischievously smearing green slime on Shadow's annoyed face while saying, "IT'S SLIME TIME!" alongside the text, "DO NOT: Use items 'IRL'."

Unbeatable is almost making me regret giving my PC to a cousin. But he needed a PC for university so I think that I made a noble choice, even though every atom of my body keeps screaming to me to get that game.

I would love to write this journey that I’ve lived in a chance, but my priorities have changed lately these lasts few months hahaha. Let’s see what happens~

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 09/01/2026

At the end my psychologist asked me for a phrase that sums all my terapy and I couldn’t think for a better phrase than one that stuck with me halfway therapy: “My kindness is stronger than any evil”. That’s my phrase that defines myself now on forward.

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 09/01/2026

It’s been a journey which I haven’t finished yet and I’m still fighting til this day, but I believe I now have the enough tools to keep going forward on my own with the help of my family and friends. Thanks to all of you for your help and love you’ve been giving me all this time I’ve known you.

I have something important to say: Since last Monday, January 6th (three kings day) I’ve finish my psychological therapy. After 6 months of therapy and 1 year fighting agains my own self-loathing and hate, I’m now on a place where I appreciate and love myself.

At the end the capsules where the incorrect ones for the coffee brewer, so now we have to punch a hole on those ones to work well

My internet presence may be disappearing, but that's ok. I'm not chained anymore so I'm not searching more parasocial relations. I just like to hang out and have a good time. Even tho I may only say hi, that's enough for me

000

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 05/01/2026

Besides that, even though I may start to get my plate filled with too much stuff to do I'm happy to say that I have my friends to back me no matter what. That's something that I would not say 7 years ago so this makes me happy

100

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 05/01/2026

The year is just starting and I'm getting busy again... I should be worried but this actually makes me happy, even though there are some personal projects that I want to return to work (also I should get back to gym).

At the end what I would reaaaaaally like is a custom made PC with Linux and Proton and an optional Windows installation for other uses. I don't want a powerful PC, just something that works well enough with most AAA games with medium graphics. I don't care for RTX

000

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 02/01/2026

Will I use Whisky again? Probably not, I found out later that it's not being updated but I don't have enough money for a yearly membership for CrossOver (maybe if they had a monthly subscription option). But I could try using Wine directly, I love cli but I wasn't confident of translation layers

100

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 02/01/2026

I had to thinker a bit with the settings but I managed to set it at 60 fps with medium graphics on a M1 Macbook Pro, which was good enough for me (I want a good experience overall, not a burning Mac with too perfect graphics). I didn't knew a lot of translation layers for Windows so it worked fine

100

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 02/01/2026

Update: I found out about this side story demo used to promote the kickstarter. It frustrated me the "only Windows" limitation so I decided to try something new and run it on macOS with Whisky as a translation layer. It was pretty chaotic but at the end I managed a pretty good experience

100

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 02/01/2026

As you can see I love doing system design <3

000

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 02/01/2026

Even though I should not base all of the translations with that model, I was advised using a cross reference with my personal English translation. Maybe that could work but I'm more worried of the interpretation of local expressions or puns/wordplay. But as I said, that's a problem for the future...

100

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 02/01/2026

While researching about this I found out about DeepL. A translation AI developed by Linguee, trained from their own sources with good integration on European based languages and running on renewal energies. It surprised me to know about an "old school" neural network AI, and not based on GPT

110

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 02/01/2026

With that said, I only have one post so I should write more first. I have like 3 of them on my backlog.

000

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 02/01/2026

Seeing that I'm starting to use this account for English speakers, I should update my blog to support internationalization (i8n). I would localize the blog posts into English and use automatic translation for languages other than English and Spanish.

I could try to buy a new PC but hardware is so expensive these days...

000

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 30/12/2025

Like NO KIDDING, I bought it in Xbox store without realizing it only runs on Series X and S; I had to return it and ask for a refund. And this frustrates so much because it's been a long time since a game really grabbed my attention

100

the_nutscout @nutscout.com · 30/12/2025

I just recently discovered this new game that sold me on it's art style, is MY type of music and got this cool concept for a game and their story... and I CAN'T play it. It can't run on my Xbox One nor on my Switch and I just gave my old PC (I just have my work Mac). Life's unfair sometimes...

Unbeatable cover art with their protagonist holding a guitar and what looks like a microphone. So cool!
