Former Mossad official: Turkey's military power could pose a threat to Israel | The Jerusalem Post
"Neither side is interested in a military confrontation, certainly not at the present time. That is completely contrary to Erdogan's outlook," a former Mossad counterterror chief told 103FM.

Probably a sure thing then that an airport might have a small nuclear power plant on site to provide the "fuel" for such fleets.

It reminds me of Ireland in 2008, banks and post offices just vanishing over night. Often replaced with knick knack shops selling odd things like monkeys paws, often with consequences. To be fair, a good cursed monkeys paw is less damaging than a typical mortgage

Well, think of them as a parent. Our record as a species suggests it's unlikely we will survive long enough to grow up.

Just watched that this morning. It was... odd. Maybe I'm not quite stoned enough to have appreciated it. The worst bit was the
it was all a dream
The fierce Orions weren't exactly fierce enough. Bored and incompetent, as opposed to the tough cookies of Discovery

I think it's a metric of human memory, the past, the future and the momentary now, that we recollect all the butter down events, but none of the butter up. When that wave collapses, it always appears to be butter down . In other circumstances, that would be a suspiciously large number of dead cats

Clarke was one of the greatest creators of things yet to come that no one else was expecting, but it was probably his professional background in maths and physics and their practical cutting edge applications in the nascent technology of radar and computing.

Yep, used by medics for closing wounds on the battlefield, because sutures take time, patience and a non-shaking surgical field

Nuremberg trials, and the hangings they resulted in. It isn't difficult to imagine the same fate for some of the men and women of the Israeli government because of their willful murder of innocents, and the lies they have told.

All of the things that they have warned us about a Democratic government, the Republican government is doing. American Rifle Association? Defending the American people against a tyrannical government? Guess what, the tyrant is here, and loves to be called a tyrant!

@dennisetaylor.bsky.social hi, just wanted to say I'm having a blast reading your Bobiverse stories. My usual diet is Adrian Tchaikovsky and Adam Roberts, not to mention Peter F. Hamilton. But, somehow, I came across your name and books and I'm loving them, so a big thank you!

So Penneys, or Primark, are now selling a range of accessible clothing for men and women, and these include modifications that make them easier to use in your day to day, and they look good too. Hopefully many other clothing shops and stores will follow suit (pun intended!)

@aptshadow.bsky.social I'm loving Days of Shattered Faith so far. Quick question, Is it likely that the Louse Monks are kinden who wandered in via the Grove? I know they were a peculiar bunch in the SotA world, and rare, displaced by Wasps and history.

At least he left, I don't recall any of the Irish religious hierarchy resigning their positions as a result of the multi-generational abuses of Irish men, women and children. There have been some early retirements, but nowhere near enough penance, which is ironic in itself.
