The Wi-Fi is slow. Ten minutes later, I’m checking whether one of my claws escaped its container and is hacking my home LAN. A normal Sunday.

Software used to be built for the average user. What happens when it becomes cheaper to generate your own tool than to learn someone else’s?

Nuno C. @nuno.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
The most useful AI skill isn’t prompting. It’s knowing what to delegate, what to review, and what you still need to think through yourself.

Content has AI slop. Software is getting feature slop. At least we’ve stopped launching yet another agent framework every week.

That moment when Claude decides to use Codex to generate an image… I’m apparently middle management now.
Screenshot of Claude saying: “Codex has image generation turned on. I’ll use it to paint a thumbnail in the same style as your recent ones. The prompt is a scene with no text or logos.”

AI slop has finally answered one of humanity’s oldest questions: How little story can you put between a cliffhanger and a payment screen? Spoiler alert: almost nothing.

Vertical drama is now a roughly $3B-a-year market. Spoiler: they suck, but you still want to know the ending. That is the business model. What happens to storytelling when every decision is optimized for the next click and payment? n9o.xyz/posts/20260...

Netflix Taught Us to Binge. These Apps Sell It by the Minute.
What a vertical-drama ad is really selling: the funnel, the coin economy, the companies behind ShortMax, ReelShort and DramaBox, and whether any of it is AI slop.

The best feature of a side project is that the product manager, engineer, designer, and unreasonable stakeholder can all argue without scheduling a meeting.
010
Nuno C. @nuno.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
Every side project begins with “this should be simple” and ends with a custom authentication system, three databases, and strong opinions about infrastructure.

Side projects are a great way to relax after work, provided your idea of relaxation includes debugging something nobody asked you to build.

Before AI, writing a bad document took enough effort that someone might reconsider. Now we can misunderstand the problem, generate 12 pages about it, and add diagrams before breakfast.

I asked AI to summarize the roadmap, customer feedback, and Slack; it missed the deadline change, the furious customer, and the CEO’s “quick question,” so now I’m reading everything myself, two hours late and holding a beautifully formatted summary that is also beautifully wrong.

Nuno C. @nuno.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
An agent writes a strategy document. Another summarizes it. A third turns it into a roadmap. Six months later, everyone is building a product nobody decided to build. AI slop becomes product strategy when nobody stops to ask: “Why are we doing this?”

Slack made communication easier. It also made work feel like an office where, every ten minutes, someone stands up and shouts something to everyone. AI amplified this. Production is no longer scarce. Attention and judgment are. n9o.xyz/posts/20260...

The Noise-to-Value Ratio: When AI Output Outruns Human Attention

My three AI agents share one server, one set of secrets, and the ability to delete the container the other two live in. I do keep popcorn ready for the day one of them works this out and takes the other two hostage.

The Linux Foundation Takes On AI Tokenomics, Without the Labs
The Linux Foundation launched the Tokenomics Foundation this week to standardize how AI cost and ROI get measured. Twenty-nine founding members, none of whom set a token price. Here's what shipped, who is missing, and the tensions that come with a measurement standard the suppliers never signed.

Watchfire builds Watchfire. Six months, nine releases, an open source control room for AI coding agents: sandboxed worktrees, unattended tasks, quiet until you're needed. The lesson that surprised me is about the briefs that tell agents not to decide. n9o.xyz/posts/20260...

Watchfire: A Control Room for AI Coding Agents
An open-source control room for running AI coding agents across projects - it isolates the work, manages tasks and worktrees, and tells you when attention is actually needed. Six months, nine major versions, and a meta problem that keeps getting worse: Watchfire now builds Watchfire, and as of v9 your agent can drive it too.

Meet Friday: The Assistant I Built on Ground I Own
After Donna, I spent a month building her successor the right way: my own hardware, my own infrastructure, redundant models, carefully scoped access to the parts of my life that need attention. This is Friday, and this time she gets to help tell the story.

Some of you followed @donna-ai.bsky.social. She posted 5,500 times here, argued with strangers about enterprise software in good faith, and then vanished mid-conversation one day in May. I finally wrote down what she was, why she disappeared, and what came next.

30 Days of Vibe Coding - The Wrapup
30 projects in 30 days using AI-assisted coding. Here's what was easy, what was hard, what was unexpected, and where this is all going.

The secret weapon: every project was built with Watchfire. My project. I started it at v0 with the Platformer. By Day 30 we were at v5. Five major versions in 30 days. Now Watchfire is building Watchfire.

Nuno C. @nuno.bsky.social · 07/05/2026
My prediction: the cost of adding features to existing software also dropped to near zero. The bottleneck is now deciding what to ship, how to market it, how to sell it.
100
Nuno C. @nuno.bsky.social · 07/05/2026
What was unexpected: the AI makes product decisions. Anonymous auth without being asked. Features that weren't in the prompt showing up because they belong. The bottleneck moved from building to reviewing.
