Actually you know what, let me just

A still of the character Chihiro in the film “Spirited Away”. A character called No Face is offering her a pile of false gold that has been edited and overlayed with the logos of Claude, OpenAI and Grok. She is saying, “I don’t want any. I don’t need any.”

Fun factoid: Forest Hoshi posture like raptors when going from a canter > sprinting. Also, misc information: Hoshibuki embody the quirks, fun and love I have to share and experience for myself/others. They are quirky vessels full of novelty for life and enjoying simple times but do face dangers.

🌠 For those that are aware of Hoshibuki: Do you have any questions regarding the mask one wears? Or any other questions I could eventually define via sketches/art or in their reference works? Building up the TH world soon and I can't put myself in the user POV well enough haha. Thank you.

All four main Hoshi types are finished (Forest (typical), Aerial, Gelid, Aquatic)... as well as a makeshift back side reference for basic understanding of their shape; both front/back being "bald" Forest type. I must now scribble traits, etc etc.

yikes :(

Instagram post from Loryn Brantz. Text reads,

I am horrified and disgusted by BuzzFeed taking my character, The Good Advice Cupcake, and giving it to an Al platform. My time at BuzzFeed was marked by continually being taken advantage of and lied to. They repeatedly assured me in good faith that they would never do anything with Cuppy without my input, yet offered me no legal options, insisting that I would never need them. The news that this character, who is based on my own personality and whom I created as a microphone to spread love and positivity, has been taken and turned into a soulless Al puppet feels like having my intestines pulled out of my body.
Somebody leaked the news to me early on that there were talks happening, and I pleaded with the CEO Jonah Peretti directly not to do it. Instead, he tried to talk me into signing an NDA. Obviously, I did not.
This is an assault on artists everywhere.
I encourage you to boycott BuzzFeed and any Al-produced or adjacent animation.

I wanna go back when logos had personality and character; when the internet was a sanctuary full of quirky novelty and community that typically built bonds or boosted others. When it was fun to chill on your laptop or console and not think about apps or phones unless a call came through. I miss it.

I suppose I can give an inkling on what I have been up to: - attempting to draw Hoshibuki types in a line-up fashion for sizes/reference work for users (a tough task when it is usually easy) - learn Nomad Sculpt after having it for a year now (hehe, technical stuff repels me, I am intuitive) (cont)

PSA for Discord's new age verification! If you get hit by it and refuse to give them any ID or face scans as you should, here's a way to just... bypass it. Go to Settings - Family Centre and then just enter a date of birth that's 18+ It's really that simple. Give them nothing.

A husk yearning how to feel and draw again. I haven't drawn much this year at all; am so far away from creative passion + drawing for myself that if I try winging it/sketching for the sake of it... it's static numb. I can draw for utility for group/admin work but it's still so numbing. One day.
