Day 8/31 Maniac 4K LE Severin Films. This excellent remake doesn’t get enough love imo. A different take, but the same uncomfortable watch as the original. This is one of Elijah wood’s best movies, post LOTR. Film 7/10 PQ 9/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #4kuhd #spookyseason

Day 7/31 Tonight’s film is Banshee Chapter 3D, a German release. A mix of found footage, mockumentary and normal 3rd person movie with a bit of Lovecraft thrown in. Some nice depth with the 3D. Ted Levine killed it. Film 6/10 3D 7/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #spookyseason #3dbluray

Day 6/31 Ice Cream Man 4K LE Vinegar Syndrome. First time watch of this movie, and I was surprised by how much fun it was. The very definition of a cult/b movie. The beautiful Olivia Hussey stole the show, RIP legend. Film 6/10 PQ 9/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #4kuhd #spookyseason

Day 5/31 Barbarian 4K Steelbook. It would’ve been impressive if Zach Cregger only directed it, but he also wrote it, as his first horror movie. It excellently subverts expectations and keeps you guessing. So much fun! Film 8/10 PQ 9/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #4kuhd #spookyseason

Day 4/31 Prom Night 4K from Synapse Films was tonight’s movie. Only in the 80’s, where you use 30 year olds, to play teenagers. Prom Night is fairly bland, more teenage drama than horror, with only one good kill. JLC 😍 Film 5/10 PQ 8/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #4kuhd #spookyseason

Day 2/31 Tonight’s movie is The Autopsy of Jane Doe 4K from Severin Films. Well written and directed, a very good cast, especially Olwen Catherine Kelly as the creepy dead body. The movie in 4K looks great too. Film 7/10 PQ 9/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #4kuhd #spookyseason

Day 1 of 31 days of horror. Another film that’s slowly grown on me, Shrooms, still isn’t great but it’s a solid film. Some of the scenes in the Irish woodlands look really good and also make it a creepy setting for the film. Film 5/10 PQ 8/10 #horrorfilms #horrormovies #physicalmedia #bluray

Sexy Beast is not a horror movie (crime thriller), but I think most fans will like it. Ben Kingsley is genuinely scary as a psychopath who doesn’t take no for an answer 🤣. This 4K from Second Sight is their usual fantastic release. Film 8/10 PQ 8/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #4kuhd

Body Snatchers 4K from Vinegar Syndrome. I love these body snatcher movies, especially Invasion 1978. Abel Ferrara did a really good job making a tense atmospheric movie, with an excellent cast and the lovely Meg Tilly being extra creepy. Film 7/10 PQ 8/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia

I totally missed the tag at the top of the case, so as I watched Sick, i thought it felt like a Scream movie. Sure enough, it was written by Kevin Williamson. Released 2 months before Scream 6, they’re both very similar. Still a fun watch. Film 6/10 PQ 9/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia

We are in a golden period of excellent directors in horror, right now. Zach Creggor is quickly adding his name to that list. The way he filmed Resident Evil really elevated it and made it a wild ride. Just go watch it! Film 8/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #residentevil

Fall 2 Deadpoint. Is it as good as the first film? No. Bad writing and a silly story. Was it entertaining? Hell yeah! This film (PG-13) had my anxiety kick in real good lol. Couple of scenes had me squirming in my seat. Bring on part 3!🫣 Film 7/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #fall2

I do enjoy horror films, about creepy old people, but Bury The Devil is not one of the better ones. First half is pretty decent and then it just becomes a generic possession/exorcism film. Wasn’t a bad film, but not good one either. Film 4/10 #horrorfilms #horrormovies #physicalmedia

Penny Lane is Dead is a home invasion film, Australian style. I think it’s the best I’ve seen from a streaming site (Shudder) this year. Nice bit of blood and gore, plus some usual Aussie humor. Might sneak into my 2026 Top 10. Film 6/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #shudder #physicalmedia

The artwork on this new Second Sight LE Blu Ray of Dead Man’s Shoes, is gorgeous. One of the best English revenge movies. Low budget, grimy and intense, but also darkly humorous. Top notch release but would’ve loved a poster too Film 8/10 PQ 8/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #bluray

My main issue with this new 30 Days of Night LE 4K Steelbook, it’s £50, pricey for flimsy packaging, a thin book and a poster. The movie is very good, but the image suffers from the way it was filmed, day for night and shot in NZ. Film 7/10 PQ 7/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #4kuhd

Takashi Miike’s Audition, I don’t think gets enough love. Easily in my top 5 Japanese horror films. A great story, built up atmosphere and then the madness of the last third of the film. Eihi Shiina is perfect as the mysterious Asami. Film 9/10 PQ 8/10 #horrormovies #horrorfilms #physicalmedia #4k

Heresy is a really good witch/folk horror film from the Netherlands, on Shudder UK. Only an hour long, but packs a lot in that time.
