76 years later, and we're still debating the same things. But the question today is: How do you prove you are human? How do you prove you had intent? Instead of the other way around? courses.cs.umbc.edu/471/papers/t...

Engineers leave for a bunch of reasons, but I'd say that trust is the main one. Once alignment starts to dwindle and trust starts to erode, the cracks begin to widen. Some leaders focus too much on the "Shields Down" moment, when in fact, they should focus on how trust started to diminish.

Last week, everyone at Brex got together to celebrate the new chapter ahead of us. But more than that, a great time to fill our social stores to the brim to build all the great things this year. I'm very honored to be one of the rebels in this quest.

"It is useless work that darkens the heart." I truly believe that every person wishes to do their best, but it is by playing roles we don't want (by choice or lack of) that we're forced to do otherwise.

Last week, we had the Brex São Paulo office opening. Another great excuse to not only celebrate this moment, but to take some extra time to work side by side with this fantastic team.

A couple of weeks ago, I presented at Developer Week Leadership in San Francisco about how Brex changed our whole way of doing software ... again. The struggle to maintain focus when a company grows is real, and you need to course-correct sharply from time to time.

I see this a lot in many engineering teams. The best engineers are the ones who see the full picture, question the problem, and never accept the solution as it is. Although, having living dinos would be cool AF. 😅

Gotta love Goodreads ... If you want to know how a social network was in the early 2000s, this is it. No algorithm, no pre-analysis, just your plain good friends as-is. Goodreads is a place where you virtually catalog all the books you want to read but will never have the time to read them. 😅

These are my Strava stats for the current year. Some will say I'm not consistent. I'd say the opposite. Consistency is not about a perfect score. It is about continuity. Perfect is not the goal; doing is the goal.
