the program I use is called DeepSkyStacker, i use that just to stack basically (you can ignore all the other options in it and just import raws). and then the autosave output file I drag into GIMP or another editor and play with settings until I get a nice result :D this was on a fixed tripod too

Photo of a starry patch of sky, with a clear but dim Andromeda Galaxy taking up the middle of the frame. its galactic core is bright, but the disc to the left and right is fainter and falls into the background stars/noise. This photo is relatively monochrome in a yellow-ish tint because I took it with very amateur equipment cause I don't know what I am doing :D

It's fedi. You're supposed to go to fedi. It's right here. I know it's full of smelly nerds (bsky user words not mine) but you can either have a slick corporate interface with bigots or the Linux of social media without. Maybe it's time to put up with the smelly nerds and the jank

A short one-page comic with 5 frames, titled "Local Branch Manager".

In the first frame, Ntos, a gray anthro fox, is programming at his computer. He checks out a code branch in his terminal.

In the second frame, a regular/feral fox is awoken from his sleep by a bell, as a result of the code branch checkout.

The fox then goes over in the third frame to a little hole, labeled as the dot git folder. The little fox scurries and digs around in there, while Ntos in the fourth frame is looking over at the fox slightly confused.

Finally, in the fifth frame, the fox has returned from his little hole happily and proudly holding a literal tree branch with a bunch of code files hanging off it, offering it to Ntos.

There was never advertising on Mastodon.

"And you see the posts from the people you follow!"

That is how it has worked on Mastodon from the beginning.

"If you go in and fiddle with some esoteric settings, you can see posts in chronological order. And you can see NSFW posts!"

Mastodon was chronological from the start, and has always allowed NSFW posts.

"I can't believe it took so long for someone to make these features happen!"
