This also sums it up: Isaiah 43:10 ‘See, I am doing a new thing! I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.’

Taken in our nearby wetland. As the water subsides with summer, we shall see flamingos in a while

Oh my goodness, Pipa! That’s both beautiful and amazing! I have no drawing ability. I would love to be able to do that. Just incredible. 😍😍

That’s very nice! Here is my sundial in my garden. It needs some cleaning in about a week or two, after our main winter rains has gone. I am busy making a couple of sundials too.

Clocks are another one of my interests. Also sundials!

What a lovely image. It embodies all that we both love in nature.

I am a diehard Pet Clark fan. Also all the ones you mention plus songs like Piano Man… I grew up in the era of the Beatles and all those amazing new musical ideas. They still get to me

Yes, agree with feeling. We love to walk in nature and luckily we have many great walks in our area. Always uplifting, soothing, calming and inspiring. Just to breathe the mountain or sea air is restoring. Sending hugs. 🌿🍀🍃🌊💨

A big tree once kept me sane during a dark time. Luckily long ago now. But I have never forgotten

I totally agree. I love reading almost anything. Fiction takes your mind to different worlds. Non-fiction stimulates the mind. Both keep your mind open.

A drawing, not mine (!) of a Baobab tree. A majestic and magnificent tree common in the far north of my country and well known where I used to live. It has many useful properties besides looking wonderful. Picture it in a thorn scrub setting

That is spot on. Where I live, we still have that freedom. But it is certainly being eroded so much in so many places. We have so few good leaders it seems to me. Only people interested in power and wealth

From your lips! Do you remember that song “San Francisco” from the 60s? Probably before your time! But the same sentiment. I have never seen such a lack of humanity, a lack that seems to go unchecked, no consequences. The mountains, clouds, the sea, what we call “the bush” are wonderful antidotes!

the most important thing to remember when you see eugenicists who don’t believe that autistic people should exist rambling about “the autism epidemic” is not that they’re wrong about the “cause” (although they are absolutely wrong about it); it’s that they are eugenicists

But we can speak out. Well, not everywhere. Freedom of speech all over the world is eroding. Where I live, it is still alive and well. We must speak out.

Amen to that. Such madness. We need to balance it out with beauty

I was born inland at 5 000ft or 1500m. Recently moved to the coast where I have sea, mountains, forests, wine farms and more: beauty abounds. I love trees, I have found I love the sea, the bushveld, mountains…so much to photograph. Your images are inspiring!
