Just saw the documentary, directed by my friend and former colleague from my days in Montreal, Nance Ackerman. I cannot recommend it enough. It is spectacular and powerful. If you’re heading to the Lunenburg Doc fest you can catch it there Friday afternoon. See it! #aiff #lunenburgDocs

Traveled to the Swissair 111 memorial today after seeing new film “111 Echoes from Halifax”. Powerful and touching retelling of those events 28 years ago. It’s a feature film rather than a documentary but no less compelling. Kudos to cast and crew for remarkable storytelling. #aiff

That’s the best way for a reporter to stand up to bullying. Don’t engage. Don’t be the story. Just keep doing what you’re doing. Keep questioning. Don’t give a bully any oxygen.

Ditched Netflix 2 years ago. Cut Crabe when we left Bell years before that. Only subscribe to Gem and go boy is there a lot of good stuff on that. No regrets.

If this is your bike, it’s been abandoned on the side of the multi-use trail next to the Halifax MacDonald bridge ramp. Not far from the encampment.

#BikeHFX keep an eye out for this family’s stolen bikes.

STOLEN BIKE - HALIFAX
Hello everyone. These bikes were stolen at our apartment this week along River Rd. in the Spryfield area. My son really loves his bike, and it's the only activity he was doing this summer. 3 bikes were stolen from us. a blue 29er Raleigh, a 27 inch gray Diamondback, and my son's bike.
If you see it around or someone's trying to sell it, please DM me.
Please share to help get it back. Thank you!

Hey Halifax bike people - my bicycle wandered off from our home north of Duffus. My partner may have left an open shed briefly unattended? It’s a dark blue Trek with a whale bell, a bike rack, an attached large black saddle bag (like the one pictured). DM if you see, pls.

Rather than write one, which I have on good authority is a ton of work, I plan to be a “living book”. @plaineagle.bsky.social and I will be two of about a dozen people you can “borrow” for a conversation. Should be fun, maybe a bit scary. #halifaxpubliclibrary #livingbooks

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this is unprecedented in NS. I do not recall a mass ban on protesters in my 30 years at Province House - the “people’s house”. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The people smile at the camera indoors. A woman in a floral dress stands beside a person in a gray hoodie holding a colourful book, while a man wearing glasses, a straw hat, and a pattered shirt stands on the other side.
