I was surprised to see several garden types recently in a local ecopark I was doing an invasives audit on. Canada lily (Lilium canadense), wood lily (Lilium philadelphicum), Lilium superbum are all indigenous and wonderful alternatives.

Restrictions on activities in the woods has shut down our watercraft inspection and decontamination program and other activities. We fully support the Premier. The drought has resulted in extreme risk of wildfire. The Nova Scotia Invasive Species Council will resume activities when it is safe.
