Time for another #screenshotsaturday for #ElemensionalRift . A lot of behind the scenes stuff has been set up and the GUI for a new feature about to be rolled out for the cast. Several details about the character GUIs had to be repositioned to make room for the display as well.

I'm thinking another problem is that people want to go into autopilot even before they start playing. My title screen has not been touched in several years but over the past two years, suddenly getting a huge uptick of people stuck at the title screen on a simple (Mode not available) option point.

I remember one of the SF6 commentators low key admitted how hard it was to properly commentate with the correct names and the how's/why's/when's even when they have access to all of that information because there is such a daunting amount.

if im perfectly real about what happened here its an issue of discoverability. because other than like MKL streams, andrea's supercombo articles, my failed podcast or just getting lucky or knowing people i dont see a lot of open lanes to organically discover new lower budget fighting games

I have been emphasizing this for years. Tunnel vision on a particular genre almost always to only reach away from the big targets only as far away as a <genre definer>-like. In particular in fighting, you're not going to draw people in if an outsider thinks you're a clone of one of the big names
