All I know is that out of all the things you could do with your evening, you decided to surf Bluesky for posts mentioning a predator so you could come to his defense repeatedly. If anyone is an unknown predator lurking around here, I don’t think it’s my social circle they’re hiding in.

Just a reminder that even if Deshaun Watson is good at football again, he's still a sexual predator and it's gross that the NFL lets him play and it's gross that the Browns employ him. Celebrating his wins makes it very clear that you think your football fandom is more important than women's safety

I love a lot of old classic wrestling. But I do not care what Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Brett Hart, Jim Cornette, Eric Bischoff and all these other old timers think about modern wrestling. Artforms change and evolve. Classics do in fact go out of style and I wish they did it quietly.

Whenever I see content featuring Emo Music on the internet these days it's mostly featuring bands that nobody considered part of emo when that genre arose. A lot of the time it's mostly pop punk bands. At some point the term emo was successfully rebranded to represent completely different music.

I'm about 20% into Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay, it's my first book by them and wow. I thought I was falling out of love with fantasy but Kay's writing is really incredible. Compared to the drab prose of Sanderson and his ilk, this is really amazing stuff, and I wish got more accolades than it does.

I finished reading Edith Wharton's The Age of Innocence yesterday and it instantly became one of my favorite books of all time. Sometimes the classics are classics for a reason. I've never seen the Scorsese film based on it, so I'll have to check that out soon.

They all kind of seemed like the same person with different names to me. I have heard that improves over the course of the series though, so I'd like to give them another try and force myself to at least get through 2-3 books.

Yeah, I didn't find them confusing, but perhaps because I came to them after things like Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun or the later Dune books, both of which I felt were far more impenetrable than Malazan. My problem was I didn't really feel the characters had unique voices to them.
