After some thought and consideration of circumstances, I have decided to pause the daily Three Random Cards (formerly known as What Does The Deck Say). Whether or not this is a short term hiatus or a permanent cessation has not been resolved yet. Much has changed since I began Noxporium in 2014, to include what resources I can dedicate to it and what I have received in response.

Noxporium will continue to be on break for the week of November 10, 2025. While things have improved, they have not advanced to the point where I can provide a proper service to you, dear reader. Even in the darkest of nights, there is a light that cannot be extinguished. Search for it, and you will find it all around you.

My apologies, but Noxporium is going to be on break for the week of November 3, 2025. Do take care of yourselves, stay hydrated, and don't forget to look at the good things you have in your life right now. I know it may not seem that way, but even in the darkest of nights, there is a light that can be seen. Search for it, and it will never leave you.

Today's cards: 7 of Roses, Black Joker, & 5 of Feathers. Unexamined devotion, though it may burn with the truest of intentions, can consume its wielder like any unchecked wildfire. Examine your motives and actions today. What is it that you are so loyal to, that you are willing to be the fuel for its pyre? Pull back and place that care in the container it should have been in this entire time.

Today's cards: Woman (29), Man (28), & Rider (1). It was on the low, but what goes low comes out high. Decide today what you want to do with the relationship. The only way to keep everyone, is to tell everyone, but even then, you only have so much influence over everyone else. There is no promise everything will work out to your advantage in the end, but there is promise of coming through some way, some how.

Today's cards: A green feather is above a clear glass filled with a red fluid against a yellow background, a blue feather is above a clear glass filled with a yellow fluid against a green background, and a blue feather is dangling from a yellow cord against a green background. You have been doing it this way on a regular basis.

Today's cards: 7 of Staves, 8 of Coins, & 3 of Cups. You're going to take the shot, then. Good luck. Some advice: Keep your focus. Don't assume that success is automatic. Once the work begins, keep your eye on it until it concludes. It won't take much for the work to slip sideways so be ready to correct. And then, once it's over and everything is done, regardless of how much you accomplished (or didn't), take the time to celebrate that you…

Today's cards: 5 of Coins, 6 of Swords, & The Pope. If you want things to be different, you are going to have to take the chance and do something different. If you want to change the world you live in, be it a different nation or a different roof, you are going to have to take the chance and do something differently to make it happen.

Today's cards: 7 of Clubs, 10 of Hearts, & 9 of Diamonds. It's okay to be scared. Really. It's okay to take a look at the good things in your life and be scared that you are going to lose them. Sit with that fear a bit, but don't act on it. Sit with it and examine it. Are there areas of concern that you can get help with?

Today's cards: Snake (7), Sun (31), & Heart (24). You started it, you finish it. But consider very carefully if you want that outcome before you begin because once the momentum kicks in, there isn't any stopping for love or money. You tell yourself that it's okay because you are not in a pledged relationship, that you're not the one "cheating", but is it really okay?

Today's cards: 6 of Clubs, 9 of Clubs, & Ace of Spades. These are hard times. As much as you have helped others, it's time to accept that help in return. Do not let your pride block you from not only seeing and accepting that help, but that you are in need of that help in the first place! These are hard times and they are going to get harder before they get better.

Today's cards: Death, Queen of Disks, & Balance. It's done. But moving on from it will be hard. Everyone is waiting for you to fall apart, to give up, to let someone else start making the decisions from now on, but that is the last thing you should do. Keep counsel only with your most trusted and let the world see only quiet determination.

Today's cards: 6 of Swords, The Empress (reversed), & 5 of Cups (reversed). You are correct in that you shouldn't stay, but you are incorrect about how and why to leave. Don't run in a panic for the nearest (visible) exit. Stand still for a hot minute and be honest with yourself not only about why you have to leave, but what you are about to take with you.

Today's cards: Queen of Diamonds, 3 of Diamonds, & Queen of Spades. Listen, you may want to sit this one out. Or at least get the opinions of some very close friends that you can be in complete confidence with. What seems like a perfect partnership is perfect to not only empty your personal resources, but to make you a object of someone else's play, and not in a good way.

Today's cards: Clouds (6), Key (33), & Bear (15). It's not going to make sense, even though the instructions are very clear. The important thing right now is to trust the process and keep to it. Double check yourself from time to time to make sure that you're not overdoing it or putting too much pressure on yourself, but once you start, don't let up.

Today's cards: 12 Copas, 10 Espadas, & 4 Bastos. Sometimes you have to save a fool from themselves. Sometimes you have to save yourself from a fool. Today it is going to be the latter. Don't place yourself in harm's way to protect someone from the consequences of their actions. Those consequences will seem extra rough and the fool is going to become wise one way or the other, so keep your head down and wait for the trial to end.

Today's cards: Queen of Wands (reversed), The Sun (reversed), & 5 of Cups. Stop. This isn't the time to be pushing yourself like that. Some wounds are still too raw and you have not given yourself time to even begin healing. No one likes to face their pain, much less the cause of that pain, but if you don't, the pain will increase until there is nothing else to see, or be.

Today's cards: 7 of Swords, 8 of Chalices, & The Magician. Your credentials said you had done the thing before, but you omitted how your contribution was limited to "an attempt was made". You may think you can just wing it once you get placed in charge, but the difference between group work and the task you have been handed is that there is no one to hand the work off to.

Today's cards: 10 of Hearts, 9 of Clubs, & Jack of Spades. Despite it all, things are going pretty well, so why are you unnerved? Because, despite it all, you know that things can sour at the drop of a hat. Rather than worry about if something is going to happen, take advantage of your secure position to prepare for…

Today's cards: Key (33), Mice (23), & Man (28). You already know what that person is up to and why. Stop trying to justify their actions when they contradict you at every opportunity. By continuing to stand up in their defense when you know they are defenseless, you do nothing to bring them to task and everything to drag you down with them.

Today's cards: Commitment, Scavenge, & Insight. So determined to do things "the right way", that you are overlooking a more effective method because it deviates just enough from the instructions. Look over those instructions with a critical eye. Are those instructions that way because it's the easiest way to explain something to the largest audience, or is it because the specific tools used in the process require specific ways of handling.

Today's cards: 8 of Chalices, 4 of Swords, & Knave of Chalices. Staying means learning the wrong lesson first, then learning the right lesson in a more painful way. You already knew that. It doesn't make leaving hurt any less when you had invested so much already. If there is any solace to be taken, it is that by leaving now, you now have more time to recover and to learn better ways to deal with this.

Today's cards: 9 of Cups, Knight of Wands (reversed), & 6 of Wands. It's not about how far are you willing to go for what you want, or how intense are you going to defend what you already have. Today, it's about how much are you going to appreciate what you already have and be content with it. Your treasures may not look like much of anything to anyone else, but you have a story for each book, trinket, and keepsake.

Today's cards: 2 of Hearts, 8 of Hearts, & 6 of Diamonds. Yes, the letter will not be welcome, but read it anyway. You already knew that something like it was coming, but what you don't know is how bad, or how not so bad things can get. Reading the letter and following the instructions will turn a calamitous demand into a minor inconvenience.

Today's cards: Anchor (35), Garden (20), & Paths (22). Any other time, having more than one way to do something would be viewed as a positive happenstance, but today, it's just one more pain in the ass to deal with. Once you do make your decision, you will be stuck with the process until the matter is concluded. Do not rush neither the decision nor the actual work just to get it done and over with, lest you are forced to do the work again to the standard it should have complied with the first time.

Today's cards: A yellow feather hovers over a lit blue candle against a green background, a green key points to the lower left of the card against a yellow background, a blue feather hovers over a clear glass filled with a yellow fluid against a green background. Examine the decisions you will make today closely, as not all obvious answers are as straightforward as they first appeared.

Today's cards: Queen of Wands, Knight of Disks, & The Emperor. It wasn't supposed to be like this. You were supposed to work with your partners and use your combined talents in a steady way for steady growth. But that's not what happened. You decided that you were in the unique position to determine everyone's roles and everyone's actions and everyone was supposed to just acquiesce to your sense of business acumen and…

Today's cards: The World, The Hierophant, & IX of Wands. In a place where you can be anything, anything can happen. That will be too much to bear today and it will be tempting to stay in your place where you only have to do what is expected of you. But have you truly examined this safe room you are sitting in?

Today's cards: 2 of Bones, Jack of Feathers, & Queen of Crystals. It looks like that event is going to happen without any problems, but, this is not the time to take such at face value. Check in with your Number Two about the plans, and about them. If they are going through it, this is the time to talk that out in case your need to change up the plans.

Today's cards: Moon (32), Fish (34), & Flowers (9). It is not enough to do good work. Make sure that your good work is being seen as coming from your hands. Make sure that your good work is being recognized as being beneficial to the establishment you are working for, be it for a corporation or for family. You are not being greedy by seeking this recognition.

Today's cards: 6 of Diamonds, Hanged Man, & 4 of Hearts. There is no easy answer here. There are as many right ways to proceed as there are wrong ways. There is no One Size Fits Most™ response. You want to help because you feel like you owe them. But they want your help without any obligation to be responsible to you for what happens.

Today's cards: The Hierophant, VII of Chalices, V of Stakes. There is a reason why things were done in that specific way for so long. And as much as you may think that method is now out-dated and that your new way is an improvement, the end results will tell the truth of the matter. Don't become so attached to either the Old Way or the New Way that you don't look at what is actually being harvested by it.

Today's cards: Temperance, Knight of Pentacles, & Strength. You have been moving deliberately in your work and making sure that each step is completed before moving on to the next one. The problem you are not aware of yet, is that you are moving at the pace your learned initially and not at the pace that you are capable of now.

Today's cards: 2 of Clubs, 10 of Hearts, & Jack of Clubs. When is the last time you called up that one person you consider your closest friend regardless if they are family or not? When is the last time you sent them a message to check in on them? When is the last time you responded to their messages checking in on you?

Today's cards: Heart (24), Cross (36), & Woman (29). You want to hear "Yes" and will not take any other response as an answer, including from the person you have perfected in your mind. The problem is, not only is the answer "No", but it is a terminal response without room for controversy or appeal. They have been telling you "No", for some time, but the more you persist in trying to get a "Yes", the more they will enforce their right to say "No".

Today's cards: 9 Oros, 1 Copa, & 9 Bastos. What happens in your home is private to you so why would you accept, or worse ask help with your private matters? Because your private matters are affecting your public behavior and interactions. Are you going to be so stubborn as to refuse assistance because your pride has been chapped? Or are you going to wait for things to get critical before admitting that what is happening in private is beyond your ability to care for.

Today's cards: Six of Coins, Four of Coins, & Eight of Sticks. You were promised that it would be a sure bet, a guaranteed thing, a promise delivered even though all immediate signs said contrary. Even if you still believe that this is going to happen, there is still time to prepare for the possibility that it doesn't. This is not the time to spend money you don't have.

Today's cards: Defiance, Page of Swords, & Continuum. You knew how this would end the moment that it started, and yet, you started just the same. How you get to that end point is more important than the ending itself, as your actions will influence so many others as they go about their own journeys. Your focus then, should be to help as many others as you can, without compromising your resources or your integrity.

Today's cards: Clouds (6), Fish (34), & Sun (31). If you sit down and write out your budget with the numbers that are actually flowing, not the numbers that you wish were flowing, you will be better able to see how you can make matters slightly better in the short-term, while making matter much better in the long-term. This may sound like "no duh" advice, until you realize that you have been betting on wishes and other people's income for far too long.

Today's cards: Upheaval, Acceptance, & Luck. Yea, that happened. But, as painful as it was, you are not as abandoned as you feel. But you will only know this, if you are willing to lift your head and look around. It will be easy and justifiable to say that it's not worth it when the loss was so deep. Lift your head anyway, if only to see that you are worth recovering.

Today's cards: IV of Cups, Knight of Pentacles, & V of Cups. Your feelings are valid, but your feelings are not justification to wreak havoc on everyone else. Your feelings are valid, but how you act on those feelings will still incur consequences that you will be held responsible for. Your feelings are valid, but if you are going to come through this, you need to be adult about your feelings and start taking care of things in a mature manner even though no one else is.

Today's cards: Knight of Cups, 5 of Cups, 6 of Pentacles. Regardless of what choice you make, there will be pain from it. Do not let this inevitable outcome stop you from making a deliberate choice. Instead, let it lead your actions through the immediate outcome so you can make something better from the situation after. "Three Random Cards…

Today's cards: Ace of Spades, 4 of Clubs, & 2 of Diamonds. The window has closed on that opportunity and it will feel like your hopes have been locked away as a result. Make peace with this loss enough to lift your head and look around. There are many paths to your end goal if you are willing to swallow your pride and accept the help that is waiting beside you.

Today's cards: Scythe (10), Bear (15), & House (4). It may not mean much of anything to most anyone else, but to you, it's home. So treat it like such. This is the place where you are most comfortable, where you can be at peace, where you can be yourself. It may not be where you get your mail or the address on your tax return, but it is where your heart is.

Today's cards: A green feather hovers over a glass filled with red fluid against a yellow background, a yellow feather hovers over a glass filled with blue fluid against a red background, and a yellow (right) hand reaches up against a red background. What you want and what you need are two different things, but you can only take one of them today.

Today's cards: Queen of Wands, Fool, & Seven of Pentacles. Here you are, doing everything that is expected of you and your station, and doing it well. So well, that you are able to hide the worrisome toil that wrecks your person to maintain. Take a step back and look at everything you are doing as if for the first time.

Today's cards: 5 of Hearts, 3 of Clubs, & 9 of Spades. You already know what you want and have already begun working on making that personal goal happen. So when the inevitable obstacle shows up, you already have a plan on getting around that as well. But should you? Treat the next obstacle as a warning sign, and investigate it completely.

Today's cards: Anchor (35), Snake (7), & Tree (5). When is the last time you had a regular checkup? Don't fall into the trap of thinking that since nothing looks or feels wrong, then there is no need for a checkup. The whole point of a regular checkup is to catch things before something looks or feels wrong. Swallow your pride and make the appointment.

Today's cards: 4 of Hearts, Priestess, & Red Joker. You have been told to keep it to yourself for the sake of the family. And for now, you have. But if the matter won't leave you alone, then it's time to talk about it with some of the elders. And if the elders would rather sacrifice your peace of mind to keep others from knowing, then it's time to tell everyone.
