Week 24 is FINALLY upon us! Thank you starlets for being patient with me during the migration off of Twitch. We had a test stream and will be operating on Youtube from now on. All start times are 12 PM PST! See you there, starlets! #Vtuber #Streamer [ www.youtube.com/@NovusAngell... ]

same with the AI flag in the video itself, ESPECIALLY for music

I wish all AI generated thumbnails a very "Don't recommend channel"

Make stuff. For the love of all that there is, please just keep making stuff! Doesn't matter if it's bad, good etc. Just *keep* making stuff.

I can see why it took a while to make the latest episode of Spooky Month. For an indie project, that was an ambitious task!

I still have a lot of work to do now that today's stream was confirmed to be a success and I have confirmed my singular redeem works. Not going to burn myself out, I promise! It will be small things at a time! See you on Monday, starlets!! ✨

I had a test stream on Youtube today. Other than a little bit of audio scuff and needing to change one of my green screens; I would consider it to have been successful!! So, from here forward, you can find me here: [ www.youtube.com/@NovusAngell... ] See you soon, starlets! #NovusArt

I am still doing "StarTober" this year. It's just going to be a bit different than normal this year... I am making illustrations for the GW2 Megafic. So.... they won't be going public once finished for a little bit.

OOC: You know that bit with Novus just never having a fun time with technology/always breaks things? Yeah. That's not a bit. I'm just that bad. (I eventually figured it out but OUGH!)

I still haven't gotten replies from Picarto Support btw. A shame. I was ready to turn a blind eye to the uh... after-dark nature of the site due to nostalgia; but it really does appear that the site is abandoned. Possibly being kept afloat only by automated payments?

So far in my experience in Guild Wars 2 fanfiction: Combat is hard to write, haha!! I may one again have to split what had been meant to be one chapter in two. What wordcount is too long a chapter to you starlets? I've seen complaints that 2,500 is too long, but I've gone as far as 5,000+ before.

Got jump scared by a newsletter from the first guild I ever joined in Guild Wars 2. I may have stopped being an active member, but it's a shame to see they've resorted to using GenAI images... Surely they have artists in the guild they could have hired!

It's sad that I feel like I have to wait an extended period of time to so much as consider new Indie games nowadays with the rise of GenAI... If I reject a new Indie title that has come out recently or is coming soon, I am not mad at you for recommending. I'm waiting to see if a mask slips.

Are #Picarto users part of some secret society or something? I swear on the stars I cannot find any information on ANYTHING related to the site and how to fully utilize the API for streaming purposes. Even the official Help page is down!

Novus Angellite ✨ @novusangellite.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Something I think we all forget is that the internet today is not the internet of 20 years ago. There's less sense of community. The ocean is vast, deep, and murky now. So, your work isn't reaching an audience, it's likely because it's gotten harder to find them nowadays. Don't give up!

Novus Angellite ✨ @novusangellite.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I'm all for people offering up alternative streaming sites that may have a little bit of after-dark flavor to it, as I can kindly turn it down and say that it's just not for me. But the moment you offer a blockchain hosted alternative that hosts Neo-Nazis, you awaken a very violent urge in my core.

Novus Angellite ✨ @novusangellite.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

If you suffer misophonia, I'd refrain from getting this emote at the moment. While you don't hear noises from other people, you hear your own character's open-mouthed crunching. I don't have my effects slider very far up, and it was quite loud to me. I am having buyer's remorse.

Novus Angellite ✨ @novusangellite.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

So, a quick update on where I am going from here, for those not in the discord: Unless there is a massive overhaul with Twitch regarding the GenAI scraping (that ball is more in Amazon's court), I will not be returning to the platform. I have been on a mental break since August 12th.

It's been 10 years today, and I still can't quite believe how long it's been, while sometimes feeling like it was just barely yesterday. You taught me a lot and were a great guy, and gave me my passion for fishing (both irl and in video games!) Love you lots and miss you tons, dad.

As I try to figure out why I am so exhausted even after taking time off from stream for a week... I calculated that I have written approximately 21,400 words this week in various fics... Yeah, that would do it, wouldn't it?? 💦

I am still thinking. I am going through clips and organizing them. This is one originally from late 2021, before my 1.0 model debut. Some sentiments never change. Thank you to those who are sticking with me, even now. I will figure out what to do. For you guys. #NovusClips (Warning: Old Mic)

We had ZERO freezes today during stream, so I think the scuff with the capture card is FINALLY over!! Final results: USB power saver turned off + moving the USB port to the back of the PC rather than the front.

A lot of Guild Wars 2 fans evidently do NOT understand that the reason some people chose their main class is not for the aesthetics but for lore reasons. Some of us were drawn to the Sylvari for the initial lore, and got hooked deeper the more we played. A replacement is not a Sylvari. Stop it!

Okay I will say this once and only once. In regards to the recent Twitch News: DONT BE A MORON!! I am already seeing people planning to "poison" the AI by doing very un-TOS-friendly things. Unless you want the account banned on the way out, I suppose...

030

Novus Angellite ✨ @novusangellite.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

The hiatus I was considering for 2027 may end up coming sooner rather than later... I've already had to turn off auto-opt features minutes before stream, as well as blocking global emotes that were GenAI. If I cannot 100% opt out of garbage like this, I will be withdrawing for a bit...

Nearly got a bit emotional during lore aspects of BotW because honestly? I do feel this is needed to remind a lot of folks I have encountered in the last few years of this space. I do feel better these days at least. I've been regaining my mental staminal little by little.

MMORPG magic is when against all odds, the community has enough spatial awareness and listening skills to actually complete a 3-way coordinated boss battle with barely 2 minutes left on the clock. No commander tags. Only people experienced enough to keep it together. I love this game. #GuildWars2
