holy shit i love that visual concept

Just a quick addition I didn't have room for: I think she needs a top in a nice shade of green to go with the skirt!

Nova Visitor @novavisitor.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

A few years back, I bought the poppy skirt for my friend's birthday. But we're both November babies, and summer was coming fast, so I gave it to her early. She's a little shorter than me, and the deep pockets are hard for her to reach, but she otherwise still really loves the skirt!

if only i could convince my anxiety that reaching out to artists and commenting on their work (even positively!) isn't gonna result in my immediate and embarrassing death or something lmao. thank you though, i appreciate you telling me.

i wish i had more art to show. alas. just trying to remember teddy's shapes. something something three wolf moon shirt design when

i've been having a really hard time drawing lately. i have so much i want to do but i feel brain dead and unable to bring myself to do much more than a couple of faces before i feel too tired again. this has been happening off and on for years.

this is why i don't have a presence anywhere anymore lmao. i want community but i'm terrified of bothering people

I go to respond to a post by an artist. I type a response to their artwork. I stare at my response. I overthink my response. I get embarrassed and feel there's no point in me opening my damn mouth. I delete my response.

Ella is a character that doesn't show up for a while in my comic but I can't contain her. I wanted to update her design a little bit, but I'm sure it'll change again by the time I get to her in the comic. 🙃 #gummibears

Oh hey! I guess it's #portfolioday ! I'm Nova, and I just draw for fun these days. I'm extremely hyperfixated on The World of Teddy Ruxpin. I mainly do digital art, but sometimes I experiment with markers and pencils too.

FUZZY FIRE (1983)
Acrylic on watercolor board - 25" x 31" I never heard the rumors of a missing H. Beam Piper manuscript, which ended up being this story. I was doing all sorts of covers for DAW as well. 1/6 #art #booksky 🪐📚

Driven to the edge of a cliff by a raging forest fire, a furry alien with brilliant green eyes props up an exhausted companion. It stares off panel right, but at what? Some hope of escape? Below is a hint of ocean. Behind is a growing blaze from which other Fuzzies are fleeing. A bandage wraps the leg of his clearly injured companion. Options seem limited but our Fuzzy hero stands resolute gripping a spear in hand.

Pass it along - please let us see your pfp in its full sized glory! Just one of my experiments with traditional media. My silly little girl, Ilaine Bixby.

I slept on Ms. Clover's design and decided to go for a second attempt. She needs to be older, wiser, and I'd like her to be wider. The pic I made before she looks like she's probably 20 years younger than intended. Still a work in progress, but I feel like I'm getting closer to her.

Two black and white sketches of a female bear-person (or Illiop).

Concept art for a new character for a story I want to write. Her name is currently Miss Clover. She's a seamstress, if that wasn't obvious. A younger version of Ilaine is training under her. I need to draw her a bit more to get a better feel for her design.

A bear-like person (or Illiop) standing on a white background, facing left. Her hair is pulled back in a braid, she has green eyes, little glasses, and a green dress with a white apron with pockets. The dress also has little pink flowers all over it. Around her shoulders is a yellow measuring tape.

Young Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby. Experimenting again with Grubby's design, this time giving him clothes and orange fingers.

On the left is a brown anthropomorphic bear, wearing a yellow short-sleeved jumpsuit with a green vest over the top. On the right is a yellow anthropomorphic... centipede? Octopede. He's kinda centuar shaped, with six feet (hands) on the ground. He's wearing a sleeveless light blue top that drapes over his back segments, and dark blue shorts with a matching belt.

@heroforgeminis.bsky.social I got a mini printed of my illiop OC, Ilaine Bixby. There's some brown on her skirt I don't know where it's supposed to come from besides a possible printing error, but other than that she's perfect.

Each repost means so much to artists, so they can be able to carry on what they do, I especially love sharing extra more for those who often share others' posts, kindness for kind hearts, plus if they have alt text! Just reposting can brighten our fellow artist's day and help survive.

This also came with a really cute little postcard with a different Little Fuzzy print on it. I was so tickled and pleased! Very satisfied with my purchase. I always smile a little when I see it on the wall. I dunno if Mr. Whelan will see this post but I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH! 💕

Nova Visitor @novavisitor.bsky.social · 11/04/2026

I saw @michaelwhelan.bsky.social Michael Whelan is on bsky and now I have to make this post. I recently bought and framed a print of one of my favorite old sci-fi book covers by him! Golden Dream: A Fuzzy Odyssey. I love the Little Fuzzy series by H. Beam Piper and Whelan's take on the Fuzzies.

Nova Visitor @novavisitor.bsky.social · 08/04/2026

some friends said that it'd make a cool shirt design... so i redid the linework but BIGGER so that i can put it on a shirt. lmao. we'll see if i get a top made or not. summer is coming and i could always use more tank tops

Linework of Grubby the Octopede and Teddy Ruxpin walking together, fully white but surrounded by scribbly rainbow colors on a black background.

I re-drew Teddy and Grubby and then painted over the BG around the linework. 😅 This is all the work I really did.

The original screenshot's compression makes it hard to look at, so I had to clean it up.

Grubby and Teddy walking together. The linework and colors are clean.

I've been trying to post these for like three days but Firefox was eating itself alive or something and wouldn't let me. Just doodling overtop of TAOTR screenshots and giving Mr. Hermit more hair. And also little claws and skin on his hands. Because idk. That's like my thing I add to them I guess

My first tablet was ALSO a Wacom Graphire 2! An orange one, and later, a blue one. I didn't replace them until like 2016ish when my friends at the time bought me a Wacom Intuos Pro, which I'm still using now.

the internet broke my humor so long ago LMAO. this is one of my favorites, too. sometimes i have to look it up. because xnopyt. AH!

artists, share your range!!! (oops! all teddy ruxpin related)

A redesign of the Gutang armor, front (left) and back (right).

A group image of (left to right:) Grubby the Octopede, Prince Arin the Illiper, Newton Gimmick the Perloon, and Teddy Ruxpin the Illiop who is holding a bucket, standing next to a river, looking at The Wooly What's-It on the right, who is sitting under a waterfall. Wooly looks annoyed at them.

A slight redesign of Grubby the Octopede with segments on his legs and fingers, on a white background.

Concept art for the Moss Forest with Teddy Ruxpin standing near the center of the image, looking upward in awe.

My part of an art trade for PrinceArinFan84!

A full-body sketch of Prince Arin from The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin. He is holding his hat to his chest with one hand and is holding a small bouquet of simple daisy-like flowers with the other hand.

A work in progress image of the Prince Arin full body line work. The sketch is barely visible underneath and the flowers have not been inked. I was not happy with how my flowers were turning out, so I was gonna redraw them.

The inks of the same image, with a sketch of a different bouquet of various flowers. It's basically the bouquet from the Love Songs book cover, but flipped. I'm sorry for cheating. (Sob emoji.)

The same, completed, full-body drawing of Prince Arin, fully inked with flat colors on a white background.

Oh yes, of course! But I will admit that I need a better place to keep them when I'm not wearing them.
