iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Novatone @novatone.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

Novatone has ceased operations. Please read below for more information.

On June 14th 2026, one of our staff members came out as consanguinamorous (being supportive of consensual incest/romantic familial relationships) for Pride Month. Some of our other staff members initially defended her position and the reputation of the server which only furthered the backlash.

We sincerely apologize for the staff team's lack of proper and timely response and complete mishandling of the situation. We also recognize that this was an inappropriate topic for the server in the first place. We fully denounce any kinds of sexual abuse, incest or not.

In the wake of the controversy, many of our former artists came forward to denounce us and to request their music to be taken down.
We are complying with all requests to have tracks taken down. Our remaining A&R staff is in the process of conducting a full takedown of our entire discography on all streaming platforms and privating Bandcamp/SoundCloud uploads. A list of ISRCs will be emailed to all artists that have released with us. The process of removing distributed tracks will take some time, so please be patient if you notice your track is not gone immediately.

Please note the views of this one staff member do not represent the views of all current or former staff, or members of Novatone. Please do not continue to harass anyone for their beliefs or associations.

Otherwise, it is with deep regret that we have decided to shut down Novatone in response to the community backlash. We let you all down and we're sorry.

(If you have any further inquiries please contact novatonecommunity@gmail.com)

“Tell me, Calliope. What exactly is the point of wasting resources to track this random Irian kid?” A perturbed Vega finally snapped. “She’s clearly dead and her sister’s distraught. This is an absolute mess.” Calliope smirked. "She's anything but dead. She's an Irone." novatone.org/voyagerstory

On Sonorii, Calliope was a mere sound artist, creating visual pieces out of manipulating tonica. But aboard Voyager, her emotions drove her to pursue strength above all else, and with what little Sonorean tonica the ship offered, she managed to become purified within the span of a single year.

The superworld Sonorii, Calliope's homeworld, was inhabited by the most powerful mages in the universe. Some experienced mages were capable of creating matter or even life via composing hyper complex harmonic structures, or even freezing time around them in place by matching its resonant frequency.

A depiction of the late superworld, Sonorii.

music is good. just when I start thinking "maybe music is not all that actually" I come across another track that either tells me something new about music or just invigorates me in a way I really needed

Sevirox (a.k.a The Rot), a sentient manifestation of silence, resides upon Volgrana, restrained by a network of obelisks. This being originates from the world Sonorii, unleased as a result of its demise. It is said that contact with this creature causes people to suffer immensely upon hearing music.
