"Leave this Abbey!" - Tapestry Blanket "Get out, rats! Leave this Abbey! I’m weary of your voices. Hurry before I break the laws of hospitality and ask the Abbot’s pardon later. Go, while you still have skulls." A tapestry design for Herbirdglitter!

Alt Text: A woven blanket tapestry with a hiberno-saxon art style depicting, a large, imposing badger. She raises a wooden table above her head, menacing with a snarling expression. A shadow of a rat reacts in fear, cowering away from the badger, its long whip-like tail with a poisonous barb at the end weaves around the badger's legs. She puts herself at risk of being poisoned to drive away the rat. The tapestry is framed by rats running away out of fear, and decorative corner swirls.

My second entry into Artfight this year. I love that people include their pets as attackable characters, so for revenge for an attack against my own pet duck, I had to attack EnotaEnotovna's pets in return!

A dog rolling in the grass playfully with a bunny and a cockatiel.

My first entry into Artfight this year. I don't often draw dinosaurs, but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. This was done for LandShaarrk of their character Mud, a dilophosaurus wetherilli.

A dinosaur perched on a rock overlooking a beach on a sunny day.

I managed to have a quick conversation with my lawyer friend and gave him the rundown of the Amazon AI scraping situation. It sounds like a class action lawsuit is possible. Is this something anyone would want to pursue? If so, I can start doing some more in depth talks to get further steps.

I'm extremely tempted to contact a family friend who is a copyright/patent lawyer about this. See if it can be made a class action lawsuit, because it is INSANE that Amazon ever thought scraping other shops' listings is permissible.

"Blessings of Wintres-Cyning to all! May the winds sing sweet and low and the snows blanket in your den in warmth. May your sleep be deep and bring you restful comfort. May you treat the company you keep with vibrant tales of yore, and be treated in return this season!"

The Meeting: A wip animatic I haven't yet decided what the feeling of this scene should be, so I have created two versions with differing OST music: Ominous: youtu.be/fHElYKRpJMo Curious: youtu.be/aD_3w6NcwDY Let me know which version you like best! (More story context in the alt text)

This clip features the main characters of one of my stories, Mal, a wolverine and Avala, a ringtail, during their first encounter with each other.

Avala, while seeking shelter from a blizzard, discovers the injured Mal within an ice cave. Alone in a foreign land, with no allies to speak of, Avala takes pity upon the unconscious brute. She uses what little scrap of fabric she can spare, torn from her own clothing, to pack Mal's wound, then tries to build a small fire for them to share. However, it's not quite enough to withstand the raging storm outside, nor is Avala, a desert dweller, built for such frigid lands. The torpor of hypothermia slowly begins to sink into her limbs. As she succumbs to the chill, the beastly giant awakens in a haze of bloodlust. Having just managed to escape the battle where he had received his injuries, he finds a stranger in his presence, but he knows not if she is friend or foe...

I would love to turn their full story into an animatic, so this is mostly a proof of concept at the moment. I really hope even without context or dialogue, that Mal's body language and expressions really shine through here.

Sharing because this is still one of my favorite pieces I've made back in 2019 titled: "Mossflower Woods" "In our imaginations we can go anywhere. Travel with me to Redwall in Mossflower country." ~ Brian Jacques

A lush, enchanted forest bathed in soft, ethereal light surrounds a small, hooded mouse standing on a winding dirt path. The scene features dense greenery, colorful wildflowers, and two ancient trees framing the foreground, one gnarled and hollow, the other draped in vines and dotted with mushrooms. Light rays filter through the canopy, illuminating motes of dust and highlighting grey boulders in the midground. The mouse, cloaked in green and facing the shadowy path ahead as it pulls its hood up over its ears. Insects like a blue dragonfly and a yellow butterfly add life, while blue berries and rolling, forested hills complete the peaceful, magical atmosphere.

This is an absolute masterpiece of storytelling, with just a few panels, I can imagine all sorts of story points that lead up to and follow this scene. Brilliant!
