It's quite possible that some are just kept around for general use in "TO as NYC" shoots. Not with legit taxi tags though...

For perspective, this tool battery has a capacity of 0.16 kWh, so $994USD/kWh, or about 6700RMB/kWh

Listing: Ryobi 40V Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah Battery $159.00

I think that's the cost per kWh of the storage battery, not the cost of the electricity to charge it. E.g. the cost of building a water tower is much higher than the cost of the water to fill it, but you fill it many many times.

This is "wanting it to be true" taking full priority over the basic question if whether it *is* true, among the whole group of people involved. This problem has various names. Ideology, "cult mind", religion...

Or, even better: before getting that big card designed and printed.

Ah found it- settings are behind that little "profile" icon that shows on the pull-up pane

No "km" setting though, that I could find. Yet.

The only OS I've used that could only store files contiguously was DEC's RT-11, that was in 1979

It's simply an animation within a scrollable window. With appropriate sound effects for the hard drive.

Paying for a lawsuit he knows he's going to lose — and blaming the judges — is cheaper and (he likely thinks) better publicity than paying 825k for a recount and losing it. It's the usual noise-over-substance. I wonder who he learned it from.

Maybe it just comes up with a random 'extra' choice each time it loads. Sir, Lord Secretary, High Prefect, Septon...

The issue is not the reflection, but the shape of the waves. Waves don't pass undisturbed past a fixed obstruction. Also, when the aquaroos stop, there's a sort of narrow wake that shoots directly forward in a weird way. Simplified physics.

Greg Smith @notthatgreg.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

At the start of the clip there's an object sticking out of the water, in foreground. The waves around it look exactly as they would look if it were not there at all.

Or it's the 'maze' theme of the place

I'd say from this evidence that it's further on down the road, very likely on the left side. Expect another sign. If it's through those gates, the arrow needs to point up.

People on planes who applaud the landing when it's still in progress... Wait for the throttle down after the thrust reversers.

Another theme of the season: dragons very powerful in battle, but can result in enormous chaos and friendly-fire losses. Not a big revelation, I guess.
