Not using this site no more @notray1995.bsky.social · 06/05/2025Actually just started rewatching some eps from it a while ago and was pleasntly surprised at how good it is. I think it kinda helps that a lot of the story premises feel less played out and tired compared to season 7 100

Feel very privileged to have been able to cross paths with him and work together at Six Point back in 2010 119918

Not using this site no more @notray1995.bsky.social · 30/04/2025Kinda made this thread cuz I got sick of people on this site saying shit like "WOODY WOODPECKER WAS NEVER GOOD AND IS JUST ANNOYING" or "WOODY WAS ONLY GOOD IN THE 40'S, EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS" when it isn't true in the slightest 132
Not using this site no more @notray1995.bsky.social · 30/04/2025It's just really lame in general to act as if ALL those studios made only "bad" cartoons and that there isn't any worth to discussing them imo 132
Not using this site no more @notray1995.bsky.social · 30/04/2025I can assure you that Walter Lantz, Screen gems, Famous Studios, Van Beuren etc. have their fair share of funny cartoons no matter what Leonard Maltin's glorious animation book says. Take a risk and go watch some of their shorts instead of following 'toon dogma all your life 363
Not using this site no more @notray1995.bsky.social · 30/04/2025My favorite thing about golden age cartoon discussion is how every single studio that isn't WB, MGM, or Disney gets labelled as "le slop cartoon studio" and gets ignored by people who can't think for themselves as they talk about the same jones, clampett, and tom & jerry shorts over and over again 162
