I was eyeing a bunch of the sales on sweet shop but of course didn't pull the trigger. Nice to have that app, though. Love having a place where there's a good chunk of DRM-free stuff. The gutting of Comixology really helped knock me out of my habits. Reading through the kindle app sucks.

got really put off by how gross the industry is and how every bit of news seemed worse than the last. Cape comics lost me. I've read some of the absolute stuff and it's fun but I fell off after a few months. Maybe I'll dig back in there, too. Aaron and Ferreyra doing Absolute JL is exciting.

really, truly fell off reading comics the the last few years which has been pretty weird for me. Maybe I'll catch up on Die: Loaded and The Power Fantasy this week and then poke around at some of the stuff I've missed. Got Ducks and Boys Weekend sitting on the counter from the library

Saw Parasite at the Heights last night as part of their centennial celebration. I had somehow remained mostly in the dark about that movie and I'm glad I finally got a chance to see it. I gotta remind myself to keep up with their repertory screenings.

Pretty much every scene lags. It’s got too much dialogue, one too many dramatic pauses. Every episode is an hour and they all feel longer than that. There’s a leaner edit that’s a way stronger show

I liked the Lanterns finale just fine but I still stand by it being a better show if you cut like, 10% of every scene. More is not always better!
