There was a gap not being filled by the staple companies of gaming, and that was disabled people. We are often not included and not celebrated, and that needed to change. These events gave us a chance to celebrate ourselves and each other, but it’s time to do that all year round.

Nothing Without Us evolved quite naturally into a non-profit, it became a very apparent next step. NWU started as one person organising events for Disability Pride Month, wanting to see more joy and community for disabled people within gaming.
