Muscles have mass and mass makes gravity so if you want to control gravity you just have to have more muscles. Zyrex is a body builder Solarian who uses his muscle mass to create a personal gravitational field. His solar weapon manifests as a kettlebell on the end of a rope.

Depends on the character. Sometimes I just make up something that sounds right, sometimes I pick a word that describes my character and translate and/or modify it until I have something I like.

A big part of it is how fun it is to just run around the map. If getting back to that old location is fun then it feels like you are exploring. The other thing is time and distance. Part of why Metroid games work is they are short. Getting back to an old location never takes more than a few minutes

#Pathfinder2e thought: I think sometimes about how terrifying Legendary proficiency in Athletics really is from the perspective of normal people. Take Cloud Jump and Quick Climb. You, J. Q. Townsperson, just watched a yoked human leap over the town wall to land several yards inside. 1/3

Sure, magic can make you fly, and a Veil Dancer can teleport into the air to smack an enemy. But nothing will make me stop imagining Sudden Leap + Felling Strike with a two-hander as a Braver, and that is extremely cool.

I updated my octopus model and made a node based material with options for stripes and rings. I was thinking about putting it up on Turbosquid, but when I was reading through their TOS, I saw they want to use my work to train AI models. Does anyone know of an alternative that isn't involved in AI?

I bet if they had just made it so you could only use 1 unstable ability per 10 minutes instead of the flat check, people would have just accepted it as a limitation and moved on.

At least with Trek, JJ's interference was confined to an alternate timeline that future projects can just ignore. Any Star Wars media that takes place after Rise of Skywalker has to live with the consequences of its events.

I finally found time to finish this update. Getting rid of the old category system and just bringing up everything should make it easier to find the creature you are looking for without needing to remember where it came from. Now I just need to test it out. #Godot #Devlog #IndieDev #TTRPG

"going rogue" implies independent thought, which LLM's are not capable of whatsoever no matter what these ghouls say This is purely a result of negligence with the people making them & everyone involved should be tried in a court of law as though they did these crimes themselves, because they did.

Inklings' mass is imaginary rather than real, as such gravity only affects them if they are aware of it. #TTRPG #Pathfinder2E #Starfinder2E
Wings of Ink Feat 1
Whether you're a bird, a plane or just using a wingsuit you bought from the Argyle corporation, you have wings. You gain a fly speed of 15 feet.

Zoom! [A] Feat 1
Your legs become a blur of motion as you sprint forward at mind boggling speeds. Stride twice. You can only move in a single direction during these strides and must move your full speed unless something blocks your movement.

Speedy Feat 5
Prerequisite Zoom!
When you Zoom!, you can change direction on the second stride.

Grab Ghost Feat 5
When you are reduced to 0 hp, you do not become unconscious. You still fall prone and the only actions you can take are to talk or use an interact action to grab your soul and pull it back into your body. This interact action can be used once per round and decreases your dying value by 1.

Don't Look Down [F] Feat 5
Frequency Once per 10 minutes
What you don't know can't hurt you. Until the end of your turn, you can run on air as if it were a solid surface. At the end of your turn, if you are not on solid ground, you look down and then begin falling.

Disturbing Juxtaposition [R] Feat 5
Trigger You are critically hit
The strange contrast between your child friendly appearance and your violent lifestyle disturbs your foes. You attempt to demoralize the foe who critically hit you.

Air Scramble [R] Feat 9
Prerequisite Don't Look Down
Trigger Forced movement pushes you off a ledge
You activate Don't Look Down and it lasts until the end of your next turn

Slap a Bandage On It Feat 13
Your simplified anatomy is easy to fix. Treat wounds always restores you to full hit points and anyone can attempt to counteract a condition that you have by spending 10 minutes and making a medicine check against the DC of the effect that caused the condition.

magicmooshka:

recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.

It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

Hey OP? Thank you for articulating something I've been trying to get clear in my own mind for a while now.

Just imagine how it must feel for the boss. They have to keep killing the same adventurer over and over again until they eventually lose and then they die forever.

This applies to pretty much anyone using Gen AI for a game. If you can't do it with the team you have, don't let a machine do it for you, pull your scope in.

Even if being pro trans rights were actually as politically toxic as they keep saying it is, a dem politician can just say "I don't know" or "I have no opinion" or "This election is about facism vs democracy, not women's sports" and express a neutral opinion w/o throwing trans people under the bus.

You could also do something like give someone a +1 to a skill for pulling off something incredible, but then wait for the level up to give them the full proficiency bump to represent the consolidation of knowledge.

The difficult part would probably be creating opportunities to learn feats, but that wouldn't be any harder than creating opportunities to use them, it would just feel mandatory for every single feat.

For starters you would probably also want to use the Gradual Ability Boosts variant rule to spread out the attributes so you don't have to explain why all the characters are suddenly super focused on attributes at level 4.

I spent a long time thinking about this and determined that minotaurs are actually a species of mole. Minitaurs are the ones that never got bigger.
Minitaur
Hit Points: 10
Size: Small.
Speed: 25 Feet
Ability Boosts: Strength, Wisdom, Free
Ability Flaws: Intelligence
Languages: Common, Jotun, Additional languages equal to your intelligence modifier
Traits: Humanoid, Minotaur
Darkvision: You can see in darkness and dim light just as well as you can see in bright light, though your vision in darkness is in black and white
MINITAUR
MINITAUR
Despite what most people believe. minotaurs are not actually decended from cows. Rather they evolved from moles. Minitaurs are an offshoot species that are quite a bit smaller than their cousins.

Physical Description
Minitaurs are short, stocky, furry humanoids with mole like hands and heads. They also have horns and hooves.

Minitaur Heritages
Labyrinth
Minitaurs always know their way home. You become trained in Survival and can cast the Know The Way cantrip as an innate primal spell.
Woolly
You have a thick fur coat, granting you cold resistance equal to half your level (minimum 1). You treat environmental cold effects as if they were one step less extreme (incredible cold becomes extreme, extreme cold becomes severe, and so on).
Great-horned
Your horns are especially large and pointy. You get a gore unarmed attack that deals 1d8 piercing damage. Your horns are in the brawling group and have the shove and unarmed traits.
Meditaur
You have greater size and have increased mental clarity. Your size is medium and you gain resistance to mental damage equal to half your level.
