Exactly why I prefer to talk to people individually rather than be in groups irl. Always felt neglected and worthless in groups. Don't think i have a friend group online either anymore due to different reasons.

try to use different drums, more thumpier ones. you can try a metal snare if you want. Make the bass pattern slower and try adding layers to the bass. you can try layering distortion and amps, and you can also try distorted the sub with the white noise bass to distort the high end a little more.

one of the things I live for in this world is probably minatory. I love that genre so much. There is just so much negative expression in it and depicts in such raw ways. it has a bad rep tho because some promotion channels end up promoting garbage :((

noise with different filters. if i wanted sine waves i can just isolate frequencies and resample. you get to make some satisfying textures as well with noise. Sine would be a different kind of satisfaction.

Tearout started out sounding similar to deathstep, with more focus on guns and different basses rather than atmosphere, and it evolved into more colder vibe in a very industrial, mechanical, metallic way. Artificial coldness if you will. It also had a very cinematic way, which is less common now.

minatory came around 2014 and it's completely separate from dubstep altogether, tho it comes from deathstep, and that genre can get depressive, hopeless and extremely aggressive with it's expression.

passive aggressive and cynical is a great way to describe early dubstep. A lot of 140 still feels like that. dubstep that was derived brostep was more crazy and absurdist in nature. Then deathstep and tearout transformed during that early era in 2011-2014 in terms of sound design and were now colder
