$A poem in an ad space on the Toronto subway: Light of my Life by Ian Li I smile. She waves. A train cute between us. I become a beam of light, bouncing off the top of the staircase to reach her platform. She's still there. We grab coffee. She's a physicist. Light is a particle, etching out each encounter on speckled film. Glittering sunrises, flickering candlelight dinners, holiday lanterns. Under dusky moonlight, she shares news with a gleam in her eye. Not the glow of pregnancy—she landed a professorship abroad, tenure track. We're different wavelengths. Light is a wave. illuminating two paths, diffracting into many outcomes. She's beside me, but she's also on the departing train. She waves. I smile.$

Florence Chien’s book The Revenant of Surolifia with three art cards featuring beautiful illustrations of the characters (whose names I will learn soon!!), and a black envelope with a purple seal

Just hit this scene in @emdashliu.bsky.social’s If Found, Return to Hell & let out a little yelp of excitement! Keep an eye out for Lark in issue 9.1 of @augursociety.bsky.social later this summer :)
