30. Haven’t seen all of them live, but have for sure heard of each and listened to some of them more than others of them.

So awesome to see you here. For those new to Prestyn, she is a multi instrumentalist, has an amazing voice, and has a growing catalog of music. Prestyn lives maybe 5 miles from me, so I can say she is a hometown girl. (no, I don’t know where she lives) #musicsky

Missed a fucking show, but one of my boys called so I could hear a few songs. Bottom line - nothing is guaranteed. Live a good kind life. Love those who make up your family (not necessarily blood relatives). Listen to music - louder.

Long story (boomer says) - nothing, not a fucking thing was found to have been the cause of whatever the fuck I experienced. Slept my ass off, in my own bed, with zero sounds (other than what is normall to my neighborhood). Ate a pizza for dinner, watched tv with all three goofballs.

After a while the one student came back with my nurse and checked again if she could give me an insulin injection. Fuck yeah. Let’s do this. She carefully drew the prescribed amount, wiped down my stomach, gave the shot. Told her she did great. She was so excited. That’s how you learn, by doing.

There were some students in the nursing program at a local college who were brought to my room. My nurse asked if they could test my blood sugar. Gotta learn sometime. Go for it. One of them was pretty confident and excited to test blood sugar for the first time. The other stood back.

All the while it was shear madness. Alarms going off (not mine), phones ringing (right across from nurses station), dude somewhere was gagging and puking the entire time I was there. Another dude was calling for help (or his wife) the whole time.

A fucking EEG was done. Like 20 something wireless probes were glued to my head. Had to lay still with eyes closed for two hours. I tried. As soon as I was told to not move, I moved. Fuck me.

From Thursday afternoon till Sunday afternoon I had X-rays, CT, MRI. Had every kind of blood test known to man, as well as urine analysis. On shift doctors, infectious disease doctor, neurologists, nurses all asking questions, poking me, taking vitals.

For reasons unknown to us at the time, the two major trauma centers were not taking anyone unless they were royally fuck up. We diverted to a different hospital in the area. Apparently I was wheeled into the ER where assessments were started.

He found me in the chair unresponsive. He and the youngest could not get me to participate and so called 911. We live less than a mile from a fire station. I opened my eyes and see like 4, 5, 6 firemen staring at me. Next thing I see is the roof of an ambulance.

My youngest son works from home and was in his room doing his network thing. Middle son had just moved back home and was at work. Eldest son came over for a visit. The doggo barks at anyone entering her home. He got past the security and went out back to see me.

Emptied dishwasher. Watered backyard. Figure I was due some me time. Sat in the backyard in a sturdy patio chair. Drank two IPAs. Listening to music with headphones on. Wasn’t too hot. Felt good to be alive. Watching the squirrel, birds, lizards, my cats. Content.

Just talking to the universe… Last Monday had the Covid and flu shots. Kicked my ass. Around midday Wednesday I felt human. On Thursday I got to chores. Electrician came to fix some stuff. Dust mopped the house floors. (cats, dog, long haired people all produce a shit ton of hair). Paid bills.

Wasn’t aware. Is the show at a large venue? Maybe a smaller event would be easier for her. Obviously I have zero experience, but hope that she is OK.

Going to shows is our thing. I started seeing bands live around 12. One or more of my boys have gone with me for 20 years. Been to 12 shows this year. Have 6 more to go. Have tickets for 2 in ‘27 already. She’ll be fine.

I am in the hospital Sheeza. People tend to scramble towards one when their heart rate significantly increases. Is it hot in here? Can we get a window open?
