Ooo, a new Laika Studios movie! I am always in awe at what they create. Which one has been your favorite? While you can't go wrong with Coraline, I think Kubo and the Two Strings sits at the top of my list. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtr5...

Last year, I trained for and ran my first marathon. I filmed the training and all the embarrassing ups and downs. It turns out running a marathon has a lot in common with streaming horror games: it's going to be uncomfortable, you're likely to scream, and somehow you want to sign up to do it again.

Friday Fear Check: what's one horror game you're recommending to everyone this week? I'll go first - The Exit 8. It's rather simplistic mechanically, but does a great job of inducing paranoia and second-guessing yourself.

Community nights mean you're in the lobby with us, not watching me play alone. Phasmophobia, Fortnite, PEAK, etc. when we need a break from being scared. If you've been lurking, this is the easy way in.

We're back on the Ishimura tonight at 6:00 PM US Central for more Dead Space. Join in on the frights at twitch.tv/notalwaysalex.

Reminder that I still owe this community a full playthrough of Date Everything from my Movember fundraising goals last year. A horror streamer with a dating sim debt. There's no getting out of it. It's coming.

No stream tonight, I'm on soccer training transport duty. Back Wednesday at 6:00 PM US Central. In the meantime: what's the game you'd stream if someone handed you two free hours tonight? 👀

notalwaysalex.bsky.social @notalwaysalex.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

"NotAlwaysAlex" has two meanings. I chose the name Alexander at 18, for reasons that were mine to choose. And when I started streaming it wasn't always just me — my daughter was right there, 11 years old and braver than I was. Horror games Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:00 PM US Central on Twitch.

We're going to try and finish up Resident Evil 4 Remake this week to get ready for a month of spooktober fun. We'll take a break from the RE playthroughs to try out a variety of spooky games.

Nothing crazy on the schedule for the next three weeks. We'll be continuing Leon's European Vacation (Resident Evil 4 Remake) for at least the next 4 streams I imagine.
