Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 03/02/2026Regarding Eclectic. Yeah. My favorite bands are old Genesis, Pink Floyd, old Chicago, Tower of Power, King Crimson, Renaissance, heck. Even Herb Alpert and the TJB is climbing my list. Those guys had it NAILED. And their vinyl price is growing rapidly these days. 😎 And Peter Gabriel.👍 200 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 03/02/2026We ARE the same. I cut my teeth at Seattle blues jams as a bass player. I learned to not respect the blues much, even though I sing a couple in my band. The reason you can have a "blues" jam and not pop or rock jams, is because blues is so formulaic. Just know how to end the song.👍 000 0

Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 03/02/2026And the doors! What made them so famous was what's his name's stage antics. Kids like stuff that's "different". It's why I liked Black Sabbath when I was a kid. Then I grew up. And once I became an audiophile, fuggetaboutit. Though I'm not an audiophile any more either. 100 0

Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 03/02/2026I don't understand why you lumped those two together. The only guy with that sort of reputation is Epstein. All others are being thrown in that basket BECAUSE they partied with him, especially on the island. Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 03/02/2026I'm with you on country - and the rolling stones, for that matter. But when in a cover band you sometimes play stuff you don't like. And even then, though I'm NOT a country fan, there are a few songs I like, just like I like a couple of Rolling stones songs. My taste leans toward Old Genesis, etc. 100 0

Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 03/02/2026Thought for the day: We are not witnessing a war between the left and the right. Rather, we are witnessing a war between children (of all ages) and adults. And it's international. i.e. it isn't just the US. 000 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 03/02/2026Actually, no, he's not. This is true only in the ever shrinking leftist silo. The rest of us are more concerned about what the evidence reveals - and, of course, ICE cleaning up the sanctuary cities. 👍 000 0

Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 13/01/2026Actually, this is a federal matter and outside local law enforcement's jurisdiction. Those that passed high school civics understand this.👍 100 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 13/01/2026Makes sense. It's outside their jurisdiction. It's a federal case. This is not complicated if you passed civics in high school. 👍 000 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 09/01/2026Back in the 1920's, my grandfather had a flatbed truck he was paid to use to transport mexican workers to the Asparagus fields in southeast Washington state. Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 09/01/2026BTWI also agree regarding protection of Human Rights. Problem with that one is that I think it means different things to different people. I'd like to see our government revert to it's original function. Protect country's borders, states from each other, constitutional freedom, etc. 100 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 09/01/2026That's interesting. You and I are on the same page regarding Iraq. I've said many times that it is said that the beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord, but step two is understanding that the US is not a Norman Rockwell painting. Trust the government at your peril. But it's better than anarchy. 000 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 09/01/2026I see the US as 50 different "mostly sovereign" nations, kinda like how I see the EU. i.e. if I were you, I WOULD move there! I moved from Seattle to Kentucky 15 years ago for similar reasons. It changed my life in nothing but GOOD ways. Lots of them. I now live in almost total peace.👍 020 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 09/01/2026We are in agreement. FWIW, my strength in college and high school was science in general and Chemestry specifically. Though I am also an amateur "historian" on WWII, it's causes and long term effects.👍 000 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 09/01/2026I think I understand where the divide is between us. I dumped the MSM back in 1997 and get my news from a myriad of print and internet sources ever since. After watching some MSM coverage of the ICE shooting in Minneapolis on YouTube, I now see where some of those lunatic opinions are spawned., 000 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 09/01/2026Now I'm confused. What are they doing that's bad science? I believe that would be true of the global warming scare, the "boys can be girls" nonsense, mandating untested Covid Vaccinations, and that ridiculous food pyramid. So yeah, we both have educated ourselves enough to know it when we see it. 100 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 09/01/2026I like him because he's not a politician. I ignore everything he, and all politicians say, and focus on what he does. It's what makes him, IMO, the greatest president in my lifetime (I'm 72). Of course, opinions vary...obviously. I suspect you and I base our lives on different value systems.😎 100 0

Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 08/01/2026Except I LOVE his behavior. I'm an independent. I consider Trump a RINO. He's the best republican ever literally because he's a Republican in name only. And that is a GOOD thing! He just had to join a party to win. And better to join the simp party than the crazy party.👍 100 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 08/01/2026Personally, since I ignore what the government says, I just ignore this. It's not even on my radar. I also didn't get the Covid vax. Same thing. Many of my family and friends are in the medical industry. 'nuff said. 😁 000 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 08/01/2026I see all politicians as liars. But I also think Trump is the best president in my lifetime. He's getting real stuff done. The border, tariffs, Oil, Maduro. Heck, he's now asked congress to limit corporate ownership of multiple single family homes. I ignore what they say, and watch what they do. 200 0

Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 08/01/2026Well, the bad news for Trump: Leftists won't vote for him. Centrists, meanwhile, will see him as a leader that means business. And elections are won in the center. Let that sink in...😉 100 0

Note to self: When cops say stop and get out of the car, just do that. You can fight it later in court if you think you were wronged. Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 02/01/2026It's like blaming a surgeon for cutting you and making you bleed. Short term pain for long term gain. And yes, it's gonna hurt - at first. Prepare. 000 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 02/01/2026I said the same thing about Biden when he was elected. I expected him to be out in six months. Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 02/01/2026It's definitely helping - long term. But in the short term it's gonna hurt - just like surgery. But the adults understand that. And this also shows why most true politicians did nothing and just give lip service. He KNOWS his solutions will hurt in the short run. "pay me now or pay me later". 100 0
Not Insane @not-insane.bsky.social · 02/01/2026TDS affects people's opinions on Trump's policies. I see his immigration crackdown as the same as cracking a guy's chest to perform heart surgery. It's gonna hurt at first, but it beats just taking pain killers 'till you die. 000 0
