The Swervedriver "raise:demos" are absolutely incredible. In my experience, it's rare for demos to come close to the polished LP tracks, let alone surpass them. But so many of these songs give the later LP versions, with their wall-of-sound production and buried vocals, a real run for their […]

I think Poirot S11E01, "Mrs McGinty's Dead," is one of the most overdirected pieces of TV I can recall seeing. Completely gratuitous chiaroscuro shadowing, close-ups and oddball angles. It's Poirot FFS, not your film school capstone.

Murderer and kidnapper was getting pills from a guy labeled in his phone as "Dan the cop neighbor." And that's just the first sentence: www.spokesman.com/stories/2026/mar/…

Detectives investigating a homicide stumbled upon a Spokane County deputy accused of trading pills and sexting at work, records say

A man accused of murder and kidnapping a woman he chained up in his basement in Pend Oreille County had texted about trading prescription pills with a Spokane County Sheriff’s deputy who was his neighbor, according to a sheriff’s office investigation.

Puzzled that, even now, reporters insist on talking about Trump as if he weren't a narcissist and sociopath. There are no beliefs. There is no political ideology. There are no policies to reverse. There are only means to a single end, namely, that which aggrandizes Trump himself.
