Starting my evening off with 'The Uninvited' (1944) starring Ray Milland, Ruth Hussey, and Donald Crisp Have to admit I've not seen this one since I was a kid! But the premise of a brother and sister buying a house that is plagued by paranormal events has got my attention 📽

Revisiting an old favourite today. 'Thornhill' by Pam Smy. Been years since I read it but so far, I am still absolutely loving the half told with words & half told with illustrations aspect. Also forgot how much I care for the main character! Ticks all the boxes 🙂📚

My first spooky read of October is done! I read 'The Witch Stone Ghosts' by Emily Randall Jones and I could not wait to bring it into the library to share with the kids! Autumn Albert (perfect October name) can see ghosts and goes in search of the ghost of her dad! 👻📚

Went to see the new 'Sense and Sensibility' movie yesterday and it was wonderful! Beautifully filmed & performances all round were fantastic...especially Daisy Edgar-Jones as Elinor. If you're an Austen fan, I would recommend 😀

Student came into the library today saying "Miss Creasey, I've got a present for you" & by jingo they weren't kidding! She'd made me a hand knitted scarf that is so long that I think I could genuinely get me and all my library monitors in it & I flipping LOVE IT!!! ❤️

It's WW2 & Juliet is a heartbroken teen who had just learnt to love. Can moving to the coast be the distraction & personal development she needs? Full of vintage movie references & nods to our favourite book poets & detectives, there is no mystery as to why this book is epic! 📚

Watching 'Three Men in a Boat'. No, I'm not perched on a riverbank weirdly watching three strangers sailing, but I am in fact, curled up on the sofa watching the 1956 comedy starring Laurence Harvey, Jimmy Edwards, David Tomlinson and Shirley Eaton, which is just as fun 😀📽

Just finished 'You're not supposed to die tonight' by Kalynn Bayron. I was really enjoying this one but the ending was not what I expected. However, it is completely personal preference & I respect that the author gave us something we were not expecting instead of the obvious 😀 📚
