Apparently they think the provincial department of education should be funding school libraries. We can see how well that’s going for public libraries across the province, as they’re cuttings hours and staff and collections.

Someone from the museum once suggested they’d been released there. You can’t buy turtles in pet stores in NS. That said I do think we have painted turtles in the wild here, and at least one of them is a painted. I like to imagine it being dropped by an eagle and landing in the pond!

Today along the waterfront in Halifax we saw a very full moon and a bunch of curious otters. I wasn’t quick enough to get the otter above water, but I still think this picture is pretty cool!
